I am using ECM-5000 in my 14*17 room, and its cooling is pretty fine. I am satisfied with it. But the secret of cooler's working is that u have proper ventilation in a room in which u want to use cooler. Otherwise it craetes hell of habsss !

bro this model is also considerable and as for ventilation I have to use in balcony room so no issue of ventilation. only one question, does it beat lahori cooler in cooling and air throw becoz i dont want to buy lahori cooler due to its ugly look and rusted quickly.

I think its 100 times better than lahori cooler plus its life time is also better than bloody rusty lahori cooler with headache of replacement of cooling pads every year !

Just keep one thing in mind
These coolers work on evaporation
Outdoor air n temperature difference helps evaporation of the dribbling water causing cooling effect...n the fan blasts in the cool air in.....

Or try placing it in a direction it has access to outside open air freely

big confusing on decision between lahori and branded (Super Asia) air coolers, lahori air cooler vender says branded are nothing in terms of cooling and throw power while Super Asia dealers said that ours is peace of mind durable and last longer. Btw my budget is 15k. What to do.

Using Lahori Cooler for more than two years. It is good, air throw and cooling. But it is too much noisy and often I have to switched it off for listing phone calls. After two seasons khas needs to be replaced, it was done in Rs 600.

Super Asia is branded, may be it is having 100% copper wiring. Cooling can't comment, never used ..

I am using both, ECM-4000 and a Lahore Cooler (with branded fan, not the rocket fan)
Pros of Lahori Cooler:
1) Cooling is much much more than branded/portable coolers
2) You can use it without pump, just to take fresh air in (in high-humidity days)
3) Generates much less noise (only if a branded fan is fitted and a normal fan dimmer is installed)
Cons of Lahore Cooler:
1) Mosquitoes entering through it cannot be stopped
2) Cooling pads need to be replaced every 3 to 4 years
3) Rusting is difficult to avoid
4) Issues of water dripping from sides
5) And many more hassles ...
Pros of Branded Coolers:
1) Hassle-free operation
2) Just plug-and-play
But its cooling is far less than Lahoris

• Price range?
• Estimated life?
• Do I HAVE to stand it up against an open window or can I just open my room door so that it sucks in air from the hallway?
• Major electricity bill savings I suppose?

I am using ecm 6000 FG its awesome.I use it indoor but it work's perfect. It remains room cool in loadsheding.
