That mist fan is best outdoors, but if you really have to use it indoors, at least open the windows.

Otherwise it will create a lot of damp and that is not pleasant.

As fahadwizz mentioned, that is ideal breeding conditions for Bacteria too :(

In order to get cool breeze u must also fill with cold water. And bro sitting for a long time in front of this u will be quite wet. I have seen this fan some not remembered where, but the sprinkles was little bit higher ratio. Where in saudia the fans are of very high quality, fixed at a high place and the sprinkles are very very light. Which can only be felt as a cool air.

I have seen cockroaches in Norway and UK, and Pakistan has the most advanced cockroaches- They have wings, and fly lol:)
Even if you do add Dettol, what about all the damp that it will create?

Last week have purchased one in 9500 PKR Its water throwing level is adjustable as per our need, I have also tried to put ICE in its Water cabin, result was good. Good to have it in the places where we can not install a Room Air Cooler. Its portable type. I am using it on UPS and not much load.

I karachi, we already have high humidity level, with mist fan you will be swimming in your own sweat in damp room with mosquitos ready to attack

For indoor use its not recommended as it may deteriorate furniture etc.

Isnt it better to just buy an Air cooler, it will do a much better job than this to cool. This just throws water at your face. Better to have a cold shower and sit under the fan.

Saw one operating in KC grill outside area. Though is was ok, one of the concern was too much water. My our outdoor terrace, I would rather put a lahori style cooler, and think that would be more effective!

Asslam o Alaikum;

I bought this fan (GFC mist fan) about 3 years ago, here is the outcomes

1)- In very first year (within first month) the mist stop working. I called the GFC and they told me i need to clean a device (which is supposed to make this mist) when it stopped working. So i open it and then after cleaning i installed and its started working again but just after two days it stopped again. So you have to waste your half+ hour after every 1 or two days. Finally i disassembled and stop using mist.

2)- In Second year its speed Regulator stopped working

3)- Finally this summer i tried to use this fan and found this was dead. I called Electrition he then found the problem is in Winding and then he showed me the winding is 100% Pure Silver. Even i bought this fan from GFC Dealers in Faisalabad and they stamped the invoice it with 100% pure Copper.

This GFC and many other companies are playing with us and selling us cheap quality products by giving us guarantee but when you will go to claim warranty they will try to prove you a liar. Avoid from these all stupid or when you are going to buy then ask them to open the motor and show you if this is original copper or just silver.

working fine outside in bahawalpur as summer is mostly hot and dry. for indoor usage, some ventilation is required. if you want to use it indoor use exhaust fan for better results

I agree with you that even multinational companies that maintenance good quality in other countries are looting people on Pakistan by producing poor quality products on same price..Whether they are car,fans or Pepsi cola 7up,,,

Summers are here again and it's 2020 reached here (to our own pakwheels) after googling for performance of Mist Fans in Karachi.

I was planning for a pedestal fan to force air inside a hall that has openings at both ends. The idea was to install a huge fan in the terrace just in front of the access to the hall and force the fresh air inside, then I thought if we could add some cooling effects using the Mist fan. But after going through the thread I am not sure if this will perform well.
