After 2 months of research on Vitz and Aqua, I have come to following conclusion:
Aqua 1.5 2013 VS Vitz 1.0 2013 3rd Generation
Aqua 1.5 2013
Pros:
. Sporty looks
. Very fuel efficient. Fuel coumption is 20km/l city and 25km/l highway with AC. Fuel consumption depends on car engine and batteries condition. Try to buy Aqua less than genuine 50,000 kms driven car.
. Fuel saving for owners who travel a lot. It
should be 50kms daily.
. Try to find 4, 4.5 or 5 Grade car. It's neat and clean, have less issues and gives more resale value. Must verify original auction sheet online before purchase.
. Powerful engine than Vitz 1.0 3 cylinders.
. Engine parts are not very expensive except throttle body, ABS unit and batteries.
. Spare parts available in big cities
. Comfortable seats
. Good resale
Cons:
. 300k costly than Vitz 1.0 2013
. Not fuel saving for the owners who drive less.
Investment is more than savings.
. Rear legroom is not spacious for 3 adults with
5.10" height and 80KG weight.
. Expensive throttle body, ABS unit, batteries, and body parts
. Hybrids skilled mechanics are not easily
available. If car gets issues in remote areas,
road side mechanics cannot diagnose and fix
issues.
. Hybrids skilled mechanics charge more for
their services.
. Hybrid car takes more time to fix issues than
simple petrol engine.
. Not good for villages and bumpy roads
. Low Ground Clearance
. Token is not lifetime
Verdict
. Aqua should buy rich people who have no issue of money. They have driver who can spend whole day in workshop.
. The rich people who also have small family.
. Good as second car
. Good for students
After 4 to 5 years, there will be more skilled hybrid mechanics which could have learned by hands own experience. Spare parts will also be not so much expensive.
Update
Saturday 12 January 2019
Today me and my friend Tofeeq visited showroom to see Aqua.
Our main objective was to check Aqua rear legroom and seating capacity. We have moved front passenger seat back and forth many times but legroom is not enough. 5 to 7 hours long journey is painful for rear 2 passengers on Aqua.
Only 2 passengers can sit behind comfortably. A 3 to 4 years child can sit between. It's sure that 3 adults cannot sit together. Simply rear seats are only for 2 adults not for 3.
We have also checked Vitz 1.0 2015 seating capacity in the showroom. Vitz is way spacious than Aqua in every aspect. In Vitz, 3 adults can sit easily. Long journey is also comfortable in Vitz.
Conclusion:
Vitz is definit winner from Aqua in terms of spacious.
