Yes, 2.0T has almost exactly the same features as the HEV apart from the minor differences because of the drive train.

2.0T is AWD and has paddle shifters, while the HEV is FWD with no manual shifting. 2.0T has slightly faster acceleration as well while the HEV has a dedicated launch control. 2.0T has a slightly larger trunk space while the HEV has kick sensor trunk release. 2.0T has 4 parking sensors in the front, HEV has 6.

To add to my previous comment. They seem to have increased the cost by 200K-250K in just to two weeks. However, they say they say they would provide vehicle with 2025 build and purchase invoices. Does it sound suspicious?

Do ask them if this includes the cost of registration and transfer as well. Usually when buying on own, you first need to register the vehicle on the name of the original owner and then do a transfer which costs extra because of added taxes.

As for model year, you can very easily check that based on the VIN number. If it has an S in the 10th place then it is 2025 manufactured. If it's an R then it's 2024.

Personally, I'm of the same opinion. Doesn't make sense to get a compromised car. Either get the full featured one or look at something else that is fully featured in the budget you have. So H6 1.5T doesn't seem like it's worth it specially since it is also a bit underpowered compared to other options.

Other good and fully featured SUV options to consider in the same price range as the 1.5T:

• Haval Jolion HEV
• Oshan X7 Future Sense
• MG HS 2.0T or PHEV
• Cherry Tiggo 8 Pro
• BYD Atto 3 (technically not fully featured but there's only 1 variant in Pakistan)

One thing I've been meaning to ask for a while. Anyone has experience with a full exterior PPF for the H6 HEV? How has the experience been?

Looking at the car, it seems like it would be a lot of hassle removing all the chrome bits to get a proper PPF job done. I'm considering taking mine directly to a detailing shop once I take delivery but at the same time also am a bit anxious that they need to rip apart an entire brand new car for it.

I personally don’t have it on my car but a detailing shop in Rawalpindi (one of the best in isb/rwp) has PPF’d over 200 H6 alone. By now it’s second nature to these detailers on how to remove these parts and put them back together.

Alternatively you can also get it done from the dealership directly if they offer it. One of the Haval dealers in Islamabad is also an authorised Nanotek dealer.

Personally my point of view is to pick between H6 2.0T AWD or the H6 HEV since they're almost exactly the same feature wise.

It just comes down to if you prefer the extra oomph (and comfort) of a hybrid drivetrain or would you rather save money and get an arguably more fun to drive AWD model. Pricing wise, if someone is able to afford the H6 1.5T then the 2.0T AWD isn't that big of a jump, specially because it has better resale as well.

The only reason I didn't go for it was:

1. I'm used to driving hybrids so I love the feeling of just coasting without making any sound since the engine is off.
2. I don't like the look of the non-HEV grill.

Of course the grill can now be swapped with the HEV variant as well in the aftermarket so that's less of a reason now.

The only real issue I have with the HEV is that it's not AWD and that's a huge disappointment. I'd be pissed if Sazgar does end up launching the AWD PHEV variant in the next couple of months because I had waited for almost a year for them to launch that before finally giving in and booking the HEV.

I had PPF done from haval exp ISD (they assured that they would handle any issues that arises out of applying the PPF; those in the haval Whatsapp group would know of several incl. those of paint and electrical). I had my own interior PPF (ali express) which i handed over to them. I also got all exterior piano black stuff PPF'd. Total cost was 250,000. It was some chinese brand PPF. Since this is all they had at that time (Jan 24), I settled for it. It did not have a top ceramic coat (more on this a little later).

End result were very good, better than i expected. I had a couple of air bubble which went away in a couple of months (it was cold, so when the sun finally came up, the bubbles went away). To be honest it looked better than what protec in ISD was doing, but it wouldnt be fair since it wasnt an apple to apple comparison (partially covered HS vs fully covered H6 HEV). Protec was asking for 425,000 for Hexis (French).

I have since sold the H6 (looking towards the PHEV once it hits the market) and in the meantime bought a GLX Swift. Sprightly little car. Very nice to drive, excellent road grip. The reason for the swift was a) learn a little bit of sound deadening b) learn some basic electrical modding. Both of those I did. Gettting back to the point, the Swift got the PPF treatment from carbogarphics. This one was 225,000 for full exterior cover. This one has a top ceramic coating making washing the car much easier. As for the final product, hard to say; there are two large bubbles that dont want to go away (they can be popped but i dont want a puncture in the film; bubbles i can live with). The legendary Suzuki paint quality means that teeny spots of paint might actually come off the surface and get stuck to the film! But that is on suzuki, not Carbogarphics.

Is it worth it. Yes, in addition to protection against minor dinks, it protects against light associated paint damage and i can leave the car unwashed for a couple of weeks. In addition the pianoblack stuff scratches easy and the PPF does a great job of protecting it.

I would suggest getting on the haval Whatsapp group (which i have now left since no haval), and ask for advice regarding your specific dealership if they offer PPF and if anyone has it done from them.

I'm getting the car from Haval Club in Lahore and they've only recently started offering PPF in the past month or so apparently so not sure how experienced their staff would be for PPF. But I guess their advantage would be that they'd know how to disassemble and reassemble the vehicle back properly. Did your dealership remove all the chrome bits before applying the film as well or did they just cut around that with a blade?

I was actually considering going to Protek here in Lahore to get a quote but also don't want to overspend in case I end up selling the car for either the H6 PHEV or the Sealion 6 once they're available. Specially if they have Heated seats because I can't really imagine spending the winters without them.

My main takeaway here is that I should also get the top ceramic coat done on top of the PPF since it would be easier to maintain. I know having a PPF or not wouldn't add to the resale value of the car but with Lahore's traffic, it's better to have a protection layer.

BTW, any negatives with your experience owning the H6 now that you've parted with it apart from the issue you had with ventilated seats?

Haval Club just apparently started doing PPFs so I'm not sure if I can trust their skill and workmanship, though I do plan to ask about it once I go for the balance payment in a couple of weeks. My preference is to also get it done from someone who has done a decent number of H6 by now because I know radars and other sensors can have issues with protection films if not done properly.

Join the FB page of the club request admin for access to WhatsApp group. It used to be very happening when i was in the group.

1. Yes they took all the stuff off. The lettering at the back was slightly off (I had the old italic font lettering on the back) that they fixed promptly. They even made a video of taking one of the chrome bits off and putting it on again. It was very similar to what you see being done in YT videos that show how PPF is done.

2. Protek offers some the best PPF materials; XPEL, Hexis, 3M etc. They are expensive but they are good. the Lahore one is even better and they also do heat rejection tints which unfortunately the ISD branch does not do.

3. Some PPF variants do come with Ceramic coating on top. It lasts 3-5 years and can be reapplied later on.

4. Negatives:
   a. the driver side seat ventilation fan didnt work. The head unit would show it working but no noise and no airflow. This was right when i got it. I was told that they would fix it when i bring it for the first service. They spend about an hour trying to figure out what was wrong and finally told me come back in a couple of days when they have had a discussion with Lahore factory about the issue. They wanted to open the entire wiring harness from Head unit to the fan which i refused since the head unit showed the fan working. Brought the car home, took out trusty volt meter and figured that one of the connectors going to the ventilation control unit under passenger seat was incorrectly wired. Fixing that fixed the fan. half hour total! I made a thread about it here with pictures.

b. All the safety features become a headache over time. Though you can reduce ADAS sensitivity to low which prevents emergency braking 99.99% of the time, the rest of the features need to be turned off every time the car is turned on (Lane change, blind spot monitor etc.). These produce this annoying beeping sound that was driving me crazy. This is something that several Australian reviews also mentioned. The newer firmware for their Utes remembers last setting when switching engine off and as per car expert (Australian YT channel) it will find its away to other Haval models. I have hope that this update does eventually come here. EDIT: I have heard that they introduced voice commands for all models even older ones via upgrade. Maybe it also includes updates to these issues.

cc. Cooling & Heating. The car runs off battery powered AC (since it remains on when running on battery power). I dont think it has a engine driven compressor and thus the cooling isnt the best. It is certainly not the worst, but if you are used to the cool airblast from non hybrid Toyotas you can definitely tell the difference. The heater on the other hand is traditional; the ICE starts as soon as the heater is switched on irrespective of driving speed.

d.Seating and under-thigh support. The seats aren't the best I am afraid. It is not possible to raise the seat up from the front only (driver side is 8 ways, but up and down is all the seat not front or back of the seat independently). I don't think they modified the seats for large frames; but that could just be me. So if you drive for a couple of hours you can defintely tell you drove for a couple of hours. Lumbar support is good, but it is 2 way not 4 way.

e. Minor Quibbles
1. Engine does not have hydraulic lifter. The hood is heavy, good for a work-out since it is manual not with hydraulic lifters
2. Road noise. It is present maybe tires maybe insulation do not know. There is this Russian video of stripping a haval (not H6 IIRC) that showed somewhat flimsy insulation that was redone in the video
3. AA/ Apple Carplay. The head unit is generally very stable, but AA (and i assume carplay) tends to hard lock the system at times. Happened to me once. Had to turn the car off and on to get it on again. I have heard of this in Australian forums (Australia is the only English speaking country that i know where H6 is sold).
4. Some of the font on the driver screen is pretty small. It maybe bothersome to some.
5. As with all cars that i have driven with panoramic roof, there is a certain noise that comes from thereabouts.
6. When i got the car i was told run it off RON 92; now it is 50-50 (RON 92 and 95-97). Not a major issue, but it is something to keep in mind.
7. The head unit has internal storage. No idea how to get stuff on it.

Suneel sb did say in his weekly that GMW is planning to launch a PHEV in 2025 , he did not specify which one.

Regarding PPF , I had it on my 2021 fortuner Sigma , it was such a hassle to sell it with PPF as those paint checking machines don't work on PPF and pakwheels inspection clearly says they can't check paint if PPF is applied, eventually worked out an exchanged deal of that car with my current Prado through a dealer, but that's just my experience with PPF.

I'm not disassembling my car at any cost ever again , i'll enjoy my factory fitted ride as long as I can, to each there own I guess.

Whatever you do, never go for a no-name Chinese PPF. It’s better to have no PPF than cheap PPF. H6 cannot be PPF’d in 250k. Any entry level half decent full PPF will cost you at least 300k. It only goes up from there.

Normally when selling a car that has PPF, an agreement is made between two parties that the seller will remove the PPF to verify the integrity of the paint. And if everything is well, the buyer will have to purchase the car.
