I am telling you the future based on the new battery tech. Battery density is increasing every year. Look at BYD's 1000 kW charging and Zeekr's 1200 kW charging. These new advancements has reduced the charging time to 6 min.

Wow! 6 mins ??!!? @80 or full charge? Is this tech available in pakistan? When will it be introduced in pk? I love Evs for within city travelling only, highway ~ NOWAY! EVs are definitely the future, if the government doesn't interfere with the current policies. Pakistan is unpredictable?!? Isn't it?!?

I mean ~ I'm just waiting for charging stations to be found missing . Someone arrives @ charging station, power outage 1o1. EVs are 1000% the future, but not for pk. Plus, our mechanics are axxperts in EVs ~ people just hate visiting the dealership. Mechanic say : I axxppert, he axxpert ~ proceeds to jumpstart litham battery.

Anyways, if our policies somehow stay consistent (highly unlikely, tbh), and prices go down ~ with the mass availability of charging stations and fewer power outages. Yea, then Evs will definitely be the future in pk. I really love BYD ~ their cars are amazing. I really wanted to buy the sealion-6, but yea ~ I’ll have to wait until local production starts.

4 now, I am stuck with my fj40 ~ which I drive like once a year. Still works like a charm, crank it up ~ instant work. I would love to get an Ev for within city driving, but yea, I’m waiting 4 lion 6. Otherwise, I would of gotten yuan 3 ~ beautiful car.

Lithium battery recycling is very cost prohibitive. There are some experiments for sure and companies taking risks but it’s not feasible or sustainable with the current tech because mining more lithium is far cheaper.

For EVs a lot depend on what future tech will be invented. I know there are a lot of things being tested but they’re not at the end user commercial stage and one can only hope that they become a reality in the next few decades so they can match ICE cars in terms of range, refueling and batteries not causing wastes.

More competition is better. EVs will remain a niche (small share in all big population countries) for a long time because charging infrastructure is not there and grid capacity issues.

What recycling? We don't do that in pk 🤣 ~ I'm not sure if "burning em" is counted as recycling, but yea, it's a method in pk to recycle batteries. The whole "goooo green" is a ton of BS.

EVs are an excellent way to reduce air pollution in a particular area. We can't say "go green" is entirely BS. Imagine just how clean the air in Lahore can get if we adopt NEVs!!

What about the added carbon and environmental impact of manufacturing EVs? Even decades ago it was proven that even with the Prius which had lower carbon emissions and was more friendly to the environment when driven, it actually had a much greater negative environmental impact during manufacturing due to batteries and shipping of its parts across the globe before final assembly. Not to mention mining elements for the batteries.

Industrial waste, deforestation ( lahore ), trash collection ~ how to recycle it ? Pk be like " burn it ". Farmers be like in winter "aaag laagaa doo". 0 regulations for older vehicles. Trash quality fuel ~ There are many other factors @ play. Why not solve em?? "GO GREEN ( cars ) " won't resolve all these issues or will it ?!? I believe in the long run, Evs will cause more pollution ~ depending on how their batteries banks are handled in pk, lmao. In pk, battery ko dafna do aur aag laga do ~ will definitely cause more pollution?!? Also, the electricity we are using is not generated via renewable resources ~ consider that aswell, unless you have a solar system @ home, but that also sometimes uses power from grid.

Sorry, it's entirely BS for now atleast. Again, there are many factors @play, solving one problem won't resolve all the factors in pk. Needless to say, production of a normal EV vehicle causes more pollution, when compared to the production of a normal ICE vehicle. Now, considering how batteries are handled in pk ~ it will cause more pollution @ global level. Welcome back to reality! We are in pk, not in usa or china, where recycling is a must. Baas aaag lagaa do.

@sohikun batteries need disposal in about 8 or so years. We don't burn batteries every day. After 8 years, there will be proper methods of disposable, provided we give EVs a chance.

This is what we need to do, EVs aren't necessary ~ they are just cost-effective ( travelling ) ~ that's how I look at it. EVs = rebound effect in pk, they will cause more damage
( long term ). I already highlighted main points, they
( mentioned points ) cause more damage combined when compared to the usage of ICE vehicles.

@darthvader I haven't been to Lahore so maybe you're right!! But even then, most of our transport is barely euro2 complaint. This has to be upgraded for better air quality. (And the role EVs play in pollution control of a city is an undeniable fact.)

@sohikun we can't debate about the future because we don't know anything at all about it. We can only guess and speculate which aren't gonna be facts no matter what.

What I stated are facts, brother do you think " ye mulk tarkki karega" ?!? Do you think pakistanis will magically start recycling batteries?!? First of all, our gov is active, not proactive. When something happens, then they take the necessary steps to correct/resolve that problem ~ they won't magically start recycling batteries, until it becames a major contributor to pollution. Matter of fact, it already is a major factor ~ the percentage will likely increase in the future.

Meh, I have lost interest. EVs are only cost effective in pk, not "goo green" BS. We should focus on other factors combined, they will change the trajectory of pollution in pk.

So latest update on facelift. My source personally saw the car in factory and as per him the car is totally change like it is more than facelift. Australia wali aai gi yahan jis k back lights change hai not full bar type. 9 speakers with woofer. Heated ventilated seats. 50w wireless charger, apple and andriod car play wireless, 14.3 inch center screen, black interior, memory seats, rotary dial gear remove and gear lever introduce. Next month is launching
