Hazy/dull shine after repaint

Hey guys. So recently I got my car back after paint job on both bumpers, bonnet and one door. Now the problem is that the newly painted panels aren't giving a brilliant shine. From a distance the shine appears to be hazy and dull and nowhere near to the old panels. There are some minor scratches still visible probably from wet sanding. What can be done to bring the brilliant shine? Should I get the panels buffed again or have another coat of clear sprayed?

Well ur painter has probably messed it up or didn't prep well. That's ehy always choose the best of the best painters.

One option is to wet sand with 3000 grit 3m.paper and then polish with menzerna 3000. Hopefully u will find reasonable improvements. Else panels have to be repainted. Don't let that painter use some formula 1 wax to show you pily shine. Can i get closeups..wanna see the pin holes..use mobile or led lights

There is a possibility his car wasnt lackered/clear coated. I muself faced this issue from toyota township. My effected area was back door jamb even though which is hidden but they did not spray clear over the repainted surface which left a coarse feelof the surface. Tried to cover it up k BHAI SUPER WHITE PAY COMPANY BHI LACKER NAHI KARTI....

Super White/solid/teffeta color has no laquer over it. Hardener is mixed in paint directly.

White has its own natural gloss provided kisi insaan kay bachay nay kia ho..a piece done by proper painter with proper paint costs atleast 3 times the rate charged by showroom and almost 4 times the rate charged by gali ustads. Temperature also matters..how its dried..thinner ratio..prep..so much is involved before a perfect paint job can be done..its just not a joke that can be done by any gallli wala and then dried in sunlight

This is a rule of thumb bro.In project cars or custom paint jobs, some painters use clear coar spray but that subjective and doesn't appeal as it's not what's original.

No solid white colored car in the world has a lacquer coat. These are all single stage paints. Solid paints are tougher to manage then mettalics in FINISH actually. Matching is a different thing altogether. Shine is not dependant on lacquer but on the quality of paint and how its applied.

Bro are u sure that you are saying that new white cars has no clear coat on it? Is it what lacquer is?
Kindly clear me because i also can't believe ans agree that white cars has no clear coat on them.

Yes sir m saying new cars with solid white colors have no clear coat.. yes its lacquer

Well i will confirm it with someone too if you are saying so.
But why on earth white cars can't have cleae coat on them? Is there any technical reason? Because as fas as i know on international detailing forums no one ever mentioned that white cars have single stage paint. Or this is the case with Pakistan only?

Its every where .white is a not with lacquer over it.

White shades like Toyota super White 040 or Honda tafetta already have clear coat properties mixed in it and hardner is the only thing added to it.. all metallic and pearl white shades have clear coat

Basically that's the reason white has the longest life of all shades..keep polishing and whole 100 microns is all shiny

Ceramix coat adds the 3-4 microns of glossy coat.and avoids color to pale

Ok in clear coat paints the thickness of paint in Pakistani cars is also plus minus 100. Does it mean that clear coat is 100 microns thick or including base coat?

Total is 100-106 in average pkdms. hondas have around 90-95..( city silver and civic black) . Clear coat is around 20 microns ..and rest is base one. White is all 100-106 for you to play with.. that's why if maintained properly u can find gleaming white car after 20 years as well.

I was guaranteed factory like work. And I paid 13k for this. He did spray clear coat. Maybe another coat is required. I'll take it back to him today first thing in the morning. Uploading...

Bhai if ur painter has to spray clear coat over white to give it shine, then he did a very bad job originally. spraying clear coat over existing white will make it glossy but when u will see in detail, there will be thousands of pin holes...its a bad idea

Paint with already hardnener in it will.not allow lacquer to settle properly, thats why lacquer is mixed with hardner and used over a base coat without harderner. I can tell u painter who will match the factory color..and quality will be pretty close to perfect. When u will argue on pin holes, he will say ...sir g abhi compound kernay dein phr dekhain ap close ups dekhain paint ki and if u got whole car painted?..send pics when car is parked under tube lights or cfl bulbs
