Head Light Change - Honda CG 125 Deluxe

Dear All,

I want to replace/change the existing head light with round light like installed in Yamaha YBRG or CD100. I just want to get rid of the plastic hood and light, which is no good in terms of light and beauty. Kindly tell me if it is possible. What changes will be required and how much will it cost (approx). Thanks in advance.

YBR G, CD-100, GS-150 almost or I think exactly same dia. You can easily get the beam and glass of XANDAU brand and case of GS-150.

Thanks for replying Mr. Abdul Rehman Rauf. Can you tell me from where i can get this light in Rawalpindi and estimated cost, please. What alterations would be required to fit this round light, and who can do it?

There should be no alteration required. If you are new to bikes than you may ask few electricians first, to have some idea.

I am not a pindi resident but XANDAU (metal beam + Glass) should easily be available at any good spare parts shop.

Second thing you might need to check if GS-150 plastic case can be fitted as I am not sure. Or you need to check for other available cases.

If you do not want to get into above, you may install Honda 70 headlight that comes with CD-70 89 model and also point model of CG-125. You can simply ask for Honda 88-89 model headlight case (without meter fitting wala) and XANDAU light (beam + glass). Total cost would be around 600- 700. 500-550 ki light milay ge aur case 100-150 ka. It will bolt on fit. Reference k lye see the pic below,

Many thanks for a quick reply. Actually i need to know, how and where the light will be mounted/fitted after removing the plastic hood/light of 125 deluxe. As above pics shows that the light is fitted on a metal strip over front shock absorb-er (In desi language this strip is called 'Kaan'), there is no such fitting in 125 deluxe...so i am confused.

Wese its not a big issue, consult any good mechanic/electrician. You can also look how GS-150 headlight is fitted.

1st you need to find exact size kaan for delux as it should fit tight between handle top T and bottom T. Thanks
