Today while parking my car i have open the radiator cap and the water was boiling hot and steam was coming from it although water amount was full, i am worried that engine is too much heating up and temperature mark is also going to middle way too quickly.
Please advise?
Brother why are you using simple, plain water?
You must use some good quality, proper coolant, like from Suzuki, Toyota, Honda, Aisin, ZIC, Caltex, etc.
i using caltex coolant
If you open the radiator cap of a car with a hot engine, the water will naturally be bubbling owing to the heat of the engine. That's a very normal thing. If you saw that then it's all fine.
Not a very bright idea as you can burn your entire face by doing that. Switch to coolant please as the other member has mentioned above and before doing so do a citric acid flush to remove scale and rust.
Service the radiator and flush all the coolant. Then put new coolant.
i am using caltex coolant , which brand is better?
Caltex is a great, value to money option, provided the product you buy is % genuine and authentic, not fake / counterfeit.
okay two things,
1: why you opened radiator while it was hot ? please never do that again.
2: Engines are supposed to work in that temperature, the coolant is supposed to be very very hot on the upper side of the radiator and engine bays do get hot. The thing is if your temperature needle stays in the middle, it is fine. don't worry. Cultus temp gauge is supposed to go till middle, then it stays there...it's normal.
