I build combustion cannons as a hobby and a small venture, thought i'd share my work here.

I shared my work back in 2010, thought i'd share it here again as its almost 2013

These are combustion cannons, they use aerosol or butane for fuel & fire squash balls as primary ammo and a host of other projectiles as secondary ammo. (socks, lemons, rolled foil, plastersine rolls, custom paint balls, etc)

The purpose of these cannons is to have some fun when heading outdoors to a beach or farm, great for some target practice & projectile launch distance tournaments amongts friends.

wow, they look really really good. What kind of materials are using for fabricating these? The paint on these things looks amazing. What about range?Bet these things are a load of fun. Job well done....

Thanks man, appreciated, the paint job looks good because i learnt how to paint properly starting in 2009, so since its been three years, the results are commercial grade.

As for fabrication, i use pressure rated pvc pipes & fittings.

The firing range is as follows -

400 - 480 Feet : Lethal intensity hit

480 - 690 Feet : Medium intensity hit

Also, if you launch a projectile at a 45 degree angle into the air, it covers over a thousand feet in distance easily.

Cool idea. Put it on eBay and market it on Youtube, you might get a good response from International buyers. These sort of fun things, paint ball, shooting devices are more common in Western countries and people can afford to pay for these, including the Shipping and Handling charges. Pakistan has a good network of International Shipper like TCS, DHL, etc. So look into that. Put a Made in Pakistan label on it, when you export, it will give more positive image in terms of quality Fun Toys. Try to look into deal with International Toy firms, like "Toys R Us" which is the Largest Toys related products retailer in the USA with Shopping Malls that have 3 Storey buildings filled with Toys for all age ranges, from Remote Control Airplanes to Painballs, Powerwheel Cars, Video Games, you name it.

I was thinking to make such a thing for Dry-Ice blasting. You can even commercialize it. Dry-Ice cleaning has great potential and I don't think we have much facilities available here in Pakistan.
