Help:baleno Immobilizer Key Cost (Duplicate)

Assalam U Alaiqum

I have found a baleno 2004 jxl model and m on a verge of making a deal but that guy is providing me a 1 single key with baleno.

I have heard that there were 2keys that came with baleno?m i right?

he has got 1 and he claimed that the other key that came was just a spare key and there was no immobilizer in spare key.Is he right?

How much it will cost me if i make a duplicate key?is it expensive?

Please help asap as i have to hand him over the amount tomorrow.

3 keys and 1 remote comes with the car from factory.

1 key costs about 7-9k, Plus coding for about rs.2500. These rates may vary, i once got coding done on my car for rs.2500 from Suzuki Defence Motors Karachi.

PS: IF the other key didnt had a chip was it for playing clap clap :S , I got 3 keys and 1 remote with my car 2004 and 2005 Balenos.

well i dont get the key price and coding price seperately

Obviously a chip containing key would contain a code too to match ECU in a car so can i get another duplicate key in 2500?and if only coding price is 2500 then whats the use of that uncoded key?

Keywould cost 7 to 9 thousand rupees. Coding for the key costs rs.2500. If ur lucky maybe the new key recives the code from ur cars system. If it doesnt you would need to get a recoding done to both the keys.

Rs.2500 mein you can get 3 keys coded. The system allows 3 keys to be registered on it. So one coding works for 3 keys.

Paksuzuki might have had sold atleast some thousands of Balenos, they cannot have a spare key for all of them ready, that you order and they have it. They have uncoded chipped keys. Maybe when you buy a key for 7-9 thousand codding is free. But please check with them. Because if coding isnt free then you have to pay keycost+codding cost.

I have paid the amount and got a car but on a condition that the owner will arrange another key on his own cost so he agreed and today he said that the key can be made in 2000 RS and he gave me a card of power point shop located at khalid bin waleed road madina mall.
Now i need to go to madina mall,khalid bin waleed road and get a duplicate key in 2000rs

Is it possible that a key shop can make a duplicate in 2000??????

All the three keys have IC or chip embedded in them for the immobilizer. Don't get fooled by the seller.... If the other keys did not have chip, then how could you start the car with them???

a key without chip costs 300 only but a key with a chip and programming costs 2000 rs in karachi thats what seller told me and i have got same rough idea from a local key expert also.

I called another shop and that person too gave me a estimate of 1800-2000 for a chip embedded key which can easily start my car.
I called 3s Dealer also he gave me an estimate of 10k for a duplicate key.

Now i am thining to go for a duplicate key through a local key maker who said they keys are imported which are already programmed so they will just make the shape of ur key and program it and it takes only half an hour.

couple of more questions
What happens if i put any local key in ignition?
how to know whether my immobilzer works or not?or can i get it removed?

It is good to go with the local key in 1800 to 2000.. BUT... make sure that the person is trustworthy or else you can imagine the security breach. He can get your imobilizer code & make another key for theives as well ... So Beware

Secondly if the key is without chip, it can open the doors/trunk but engine will not start.... There will not be any response of any sort from the engine, not even self-starter. But make sure that the original key is far away i.e at-least 20-30 meters & not in your pocket because imobilzer key works on Wireless communication principles & transmits imobilizer code. So if you have the original key in your pocket, then you can start the car with any other fake key & you will not be able to know that either coding is right or the car started due to the original key that is in your pocket :). As the Karachites know but for other members khalid bin waleed road is famous for having car showrooms and car shops for acessories etc
I got a duplicate key from power point shop no 9,madina mall,khalid bin waleed road,karachi

Let me tell you that it was in agreement that seller would bear the cost of a duplicate key so money wasnt an issue for me but i contacted a key expert located in khadda market kharadar who gave me an estimate of 1800 so what i realised that a duplicate key can be made in 1500-2500 depending upon the location.
I needed a key urgently so i paid him 2500 and my key was ready within 5 min

they import uncodded key and by using some equipment the take out the code and program it immediately while stiing on a driving seat.it took him 5min only.

Did you check the duplicate key alone, while keeping the original key at a reasonable distance as mentioned earlier??
