Help: Do`s & Don`ts before buying a 0-meter vehicle

Dear Fellas, hope you all will be doing good. Question is: this is my first experience of buying a brand new vehicle and the car is Corolla Gli 1.3 Limited Edition. I want to know that what are the Dos and Donts before buying a 0 meter vehicle and any other helpful checklist to make sure that it absolutely brand new 0 meter because last time I saw a person on Pakwheels posting about his brand new city 2010 and showing the one part which was being dented painted although it was bought from authorized dealer. I am suggested to visit Toyota Ravi, Toyota Airport or Toyota walton motors for this purpose but I want you guys to suggest me some points or a checklist to verify a brand new car. And does the zero meter meant to be exactly zero kms reading on the meter? I shall be very kind of you all for your support and suggestions. Thanks

Zero Meter does not mean 0 on the meter. There is 50-60km on odo meter. Drive Between 50-80 km/hr in the start till the 5000 km reading. Avoid speeding. Avoid quick acceleration.

DO ensure the vehicle is complete and intact,
DO ensure there is no weird sound or smell
DO ensure the vehicle can accelerate like it should

DONT trust the showroom words for afterwards free repairs or additional installation unless its written on a letterhead document signed properly by a manager.
DONT jam the brakes for at least the first 300 kms
DONT do burnouts to impress your girlfreind with new car
DONT let the freak scarecrows at the showroom wash your car with their "surf ka paani" - Get the car to a detailing place.

NEVER EVER apply new or used oil to the underside of the car no matter if the service waala banda is a bandi wearing a swimming attire and recommending to do it.

Avoid over speeding,Avoiding going on a higher RPM then 3 or 4 max and yes do check the spare tyre and ensure that all the tyres are new and do check all the oils....

Don't stick to one dealer. Go to multiple car dealers if possible before putting your signature on a deal.

Pakistani car buying is not like the US, in Pakistan the dealership assumes that its giving you a great favor by selling you a car on premium price. They usually say - "Bhai maal nahin hai - booking band hai, jaao yahan se tanng nahi karo"

DRIVE like a boss
first thing u do put UR 13 plates and remove showroom apl covers
rims tires are a must
baki drive it like a normal car khidmat na karna itni k jab bura time aye to dil dukhay

I've seen the Toyota showroom mechanics drive the brand new corollas from the car storage facility to their respective showrooms like crazy. Especially Toyota airport motors and Toyota Walton motors. I was seriously considering to talk to the managers at the showrooms to request the drivers to at least drive the brand new cars a little slowly and stop revving the cars like crazy but never got the time to do so and they won't listen even if I do.
A showroom driver was going to crash some poor potential owners car into me the other day,thank god I had the time to react, he was driving at vey high speeds.

My point here is that you should buy a car closest to the storage facility, I presume that would be Toyota ravi motors on lahore. Those cars would be the least likely to be driven rashly.
If I ever buy a corolla, I would buy it from there even though it's an hours drive from my house.

A question i have been searching an answer for all around .. do you use the air conditioner in the running period ie the first 1000 km or you don't do that??

You can use the Ac and you really don't need to do any running on the brand new car. Just be easy first few hundere miles.

bro all toyota corollas are pre-runned on dyno for any faults or problems..when u get it from showroom its ready to give its full potential..its not a regular CHONDA CD 70 that needs a running

other than this please make sure the car is invoiced on your name otherwise you will be the second owner on papers. Get the car booked or opt for a car with open invoice.

drive the way you want dont listen to those telling you not to cross 3-4k rpm dont abuse it but drive it like you wanna do it.......people suggesting you this must've been living under rock for the last 20 years and imagine your car to have a 2 stroke bolan engine made in 80's suburban area of japan

Yup these corollas don't require any running as they call it.

Take a good denter along to see any re done pieces other than that everything should be fine.

These days even PS and IMC dealers are desperate because the cars aren't selling!
