a friend want to travel on skardu gilgit road in start of march. how is road conditions and how much time it will take. should he take direct flight to skardu or road is ok from gilgit?

please also take into consideration the new weather advisory for fresh rain and snow spell starting tomorrow

Direct flight to skardu will save a lot of time as the road to skardu still is not in a good shape. Weather is good but expecting some rain in a day or two. Skardu might get snowfall. Temparuture remains around 2-3 degrees but can touch minus at night

Babusar Top Update:
(16 May 2020)

Babusar top access is closed from both Naran and Chilas side. From Naran side its opened till Burawai only and from Chilas side till Pakistan hotel babusar valley.

Work is in progress.

Tourists still not allowed to enter in Naran and all hotels are still closed. We will keep you all updated.
