Help For Travellers of Gilgit Baltistan

Well my wife was telling me that she read somewhere that scenery was very beautiful in Besham etc. I told her that it's not worth while going from that side.

2 weeks back an acquaintance came back from Hunza and he had to take this route . He told me that car speed was no more than 10-15 km and that his back has started paining (he was driving).
Regarding road of Raikot (before the bridge) he told me that more than 60 percent of the road has been newly paved and only 40 percent remains .

So best bet is to go via babusar top, and try to avoid besham.
if not possible , then please do post some pictures about that area so that we could also view for ourselves.

Yeah we're going via Dasu and that's how its going to be for us. It's good to have an experience of an alternate route.

My brother-in-law left earlier today and is currently staying in Besham.
This is his feedback so far.
"It took around 5 hours from Bahria Rwp to Bisham with a couple of tea breaks. Road until Besham is clear and carpeted with the exception of some very minor patches where hazara motorway ends and N95 starts. After Hazara motorway, its around 35km to bisham and road is as good as Isb-Jehlum section of GT road". Attached Google drive link has a little video of N95 road before Besham.

We will leave Isb tomorrow morning after Fajar InshAllah and are expecting to join them by around 9AM. From there, we will continue to Chilas. Besham-Dasu-Chilas is going to be the real deal. Let's see how it goes.

I will keep you guys posted and will post pictures and videos of the route whenever possible InshAllah.

My uncle and aunty are traveling please help me plan something for them. They have already booked flights. Without consulting.

Reaching Islamabad on the night of 13th/early morning 14th.

14th nite Islamabad
15th nite Islamabad

Flying to Gilgit
16th nite Hunza/booked luxus
17th nite Hunza/booked luxus

18th nite suggestion needed for hotel
19th nite back to islamabd

Flying to skardu on 20th

20th nite Skardu need suggestions what to do
21st nite Skardu need suggestions what to do

22nd back to islamad and then back to karachi.

Coming back to isb from glt and then going back to skardu doesnt seem feasible...if u can,cancel their skardu booking and make a full trip for glt or cancel their glt booking and make a full trip to skardu..
If not possible then
Make booking for 18th nite in minapen nagar either osho thang or hills n huts (both hotels contacts available in this thread).
During stay they can see attabad ,passu cones ,hoper glacier nagar etc
Or they can plan a whole day trip to khunjerab and back
For skardu you can book their rooms in shangrilla or if they ate looking for a cheaper hotel wuth same surroundings ,book in tibet hotel shangrilla.
One day they can visit soq village and upper kachure.and if they are fit enough they can visit upper kachura lake for which they will have to trek 4 about 30 minutes from parking
2nd day they can visit manthoka and khamash waterfalls

Murtaza Bhaee, I have a few suggestions.

18th night, they can opt for Eagles nest. Hotel itself is okay but scenery and atmosphere is awesome.

19th night, Question, why would they travel from Hunza to Isb and then on 20th take fly from isb to skardu?
Maybe they could do this:

19th , hire 4x4 and go from hunza to astore. Stay in Astore and maybe take a quick peak at Rama meadows.
20th, astore to skardu, stay in Shangrila skardu. They can visit deosai along the way etc.
21st, stay in Shangrila skardu, visit kachura lakes and relax in serene atmosphere.

Still with all this, I consider @nagar1 bhaee an authority. Lol

I suggested them to fly islamabad / Skardu and do a by road trip.

They said they couldn't find tickets. Later I suggested them to do islamad / Gilgit and then by road.

Flying from Gilgit to islamabad then skardu is very hectic.

I'm trying to get them to cancel Gilgil/Islamabad/Skardu trip.

Do a Gilgit, Hunza, Skardu trip because this is very short. Still open for suggestions.

They want to visit luxus grand hunza and Shangrilla Skardu

Are they willing to travel by road to roads like astore skardu?

Imran bhai I had not suggested by road travelling as i dont know if these would be too hectic for them...kunke astore skardu main to bilkul young logon ki bhi bs hojati ha...lekin if they are fit enough and happy to do this the most feasible would be to go to astore from hunza. Visit rama one day and next day leave for skardu covering sheosardeosai and sadpara. In skardu they can do shangrilla upper kachura and the two waterfalls i mentioned

Let them have luxus experience... they wont regret it .
Other then that they can focus on hunza to khunjerab side.
Do advice them to stay at duikar ...fairyland hotel at duikar is good option interms of service and views...obviously eagles nest has the best views but their service isnt ...

Not really sure. But I assume by road would be shorter then traveling back to islamabad and then back to skardu.

What I was thinking is book a good hotel for them in Islamabad

Book a car rental in Gilgit that would drop them to Hunza luxus and can also show them around, can be with them 16/17/18/ drop them back to airport on 19th.

19th Islamabad,

20/21 another car in skardu with driver who can show them around and change routines as per liking and weather.

But need good hotels in Gilgit and Skardu.

I'm not sure if the know that luxus grand and serena gilgit is also around 2/2.5 hours from airport.

Another thing that concerns me that flight to Gilgit is always on doubt.
