Help needed AC Cooling .Corolla Gli 1.6 Automatic 2012

sir i have corolla 2013 model gli automatic
i was having the exact these 2 issues.
i went to different mechanics some saif u r not using the right oil n etc , some said cha ge the lid of radiator,
i did every thing but no change ,
the 1 mechanic said to service the radiator, i agreed
its been 5 months now my car has not heated again .
2ndly the ac issue. mechanics are putting kabli compressors which i dnt recommend used once.
the a.c which is genuinely made for 1.6 auto gli is of 49.7 k
which is too expensive to buy so in karachi toyota univerity motor told me to put 1.3 gli compressor.
the only difference in these 2 compressors are sensors.
1.3 has no sensor and 1.6 has sensors. which r not that important to spend 50k so im putting gli 1.3 compressor tomorrow which will costs around 18k.

May be it would help someone how I got my car Ac back with perfection and total cost .

Used 1.6 Corolla original sensor based Compressor (found with great difficulty) + New Condensor . New belts . Whole indoor outdoor service , pipes cleaning .new valves/jets and rest of small things including + labour cost . Everything costed me 30K . Now Ac is ThankGod perfect .
Punjab Auto lhr & Bashir Auto lhr asked for 80-90K for replacing whole unit they told me it won't help to change compressor and service etc ur Ac system is done have new one .
Test Run : When cooling reaches at quite well point or required point , Ac trips itself . And when again cooling is required it starts automatically ( I never knew this before ) . Quite sophisticated system . But level of cooling remain pleasant thorough out the whole process . Checked in 40•c and I am satisfied . Will check it again in 45•c in coming days ,because in Punjab brutality of summer is on the door .

Last thing which I don't know yet . When I switch on Ac on idle (Neutral) RPM goes to 1-1.2 for a moment and comes back to 0.8. Is it normal . ??? @z.u.m.a @brownrose78

1. Nice & Economical work . I only surprised about 2 more parts i.e. Inner Valve & inner Coil, did u flush them or install new one?
2. Compressor u bought,is it brand new or used?
3. Guarantee?
4. How u notice a/c compressor trips off?
4. RPM fluctuation is normal & expected but keep close eyes over it. What is usual RPM before AC start?
5. Always monitor RPM with full A/C on and Full Head Lights ON

@pwuser148763411887 irst make sure that it's just compressor issue ?? If yes thn go for it 18k for all work. Isn't much . Will it be new one (compressor) or used one ??
If used one thn you can get original 1.6's compressor used in same price excluding labour( although hard to find) .
But I would suggest that ask your mechanic to check the whole Ac system . So later on you could not get shock like me that your unit has been devour with carbon or etc along with news that compressor is needed to be changed .

1:- Diagnose the exact problem what is needed to be check and find the faults .
2:- go for 1.3 or 1.6 compressor what suits to your pocket .
3:- don't go for alteration of 1.6 . It will destroy your car in many other ways.
Bro have faith everything is repairable you will get your Ac system with full strength , trust pakwheelers they have all helped nd guided me a lot .. appreciate that . Otherwise I did know bit about cars ..

@brownrose78 1:-Valve changed not coil .
2:-Used compressor bought it from a spare part worker installed in 1.6 Corolla previously He Got it from complete accidental car the condition was perfect .
He was Friend of my friend. ( so gurrantee was not discussed because of mutual trust )
4:- from air feel I've inferred that after certain point cooling it automatically off nd thn to keep temperature steady it ignites again. Felt it . It's from cabin experience .
5:- usual Rpm is 800 o.8 before Ac. Af@ter Ac on it reaches at 1200.1.2 . Thn comes back at 8000 later . 2-3 seconds .
5:- ok I will check it with full lights on . Moreover 1 cell of my car battery is dead may be that's also effecting . I will change the battery next month . Hopefully it would not create issue .

Over the course of past 16 years have experience with many corollas and haven't seen uncommonly higher problems A/C in corolla, I guess no of corollas coming in is higher due to popularity:

1. 2002 Corolla 2.0d Saloon
   Still on genuine A/C and gas, A/C was last serviced uhh in 2008 I guess. only condenser is washed thoroughly once in march and once in July. Even dust accumulation in interior hasn't caused any problem though I'm afraid of it as a ticking time bomb though. cooling is still 5/5

2. 2004 Corolla Se Saloon
   Original compressor lasted 225000 km, then terios kid compressor was used for short period before it gave up, denso installed again, though the cooling is 4/5 but working properly according to the new owner.

3. 2010 gli 1.3
   A/c gas leaked once at 23000 km, no problem after servicing

4. 2012 gli 1.6 auto
   Never had any problem.

5. 2014 gli 1.3
   no problem, 42000km driven yet.

guess recent and less driven toyotas don't need to be mentioned.

Recently bought a 2012 altis 77k miled and from day one AC wasnt good. Yesterday replaced the compressor and condensor to terios kid on my AC guys advice for around 18k.. AC is now WORKING.. but its just working not chilling as I experienced in my last 2010 xli... should I try to keep tweaking my 18K spend or do something else.. are there any people here who are satisfied with terrios kid compressors ?

Need some input on AC of corolla 2012
the solenoid compressors installed in them stops working all of a sudden, mechanics are advising to install previous 2008 model xli clutch compressor,
I want to know the that what adverse affects i can expect after doing so? Any RPM issues or fuel economy issue in such thing. Please do share your input as summer is rising and its very hard to drive in such conditions in rwp/ isb

had to do alteration and install duet compressor.
but i still think if some how i can get back to the old compressor condition.

How has your experience been of using a used 1.6 GLI compressor.
Did you make sure that it wasn't producing carbon before you installed it? How has your journey been in these 4 years?

I purchased the Stuff from Lahore and get it changed from kasur . In lahore they were charging double.

My Compressor and AC is working Fine till now ... Alhumdolillah Satisfied. Once gas was leaked last year . I filled it. Rest is working Fine .
