The 3s is quite a popular swap on Kia Sportage. They generally tend to mesh it with Kia's own transmission. Also, I've heard of merging the 3s with Hilux SSR gearbox, but the bell housing would need to be altered / fabricated. None of these are personal experiences, this is what I've heard / read on forums.
