HELP - P0420 Code: Catalyst System Efficiency Below Threshold

Hello Fellows,

My Wagon R just displayed MIL light. I have an OBD2 scanner which tell me fault is “P0420 Code: Catalyst System Efficiency Below Threshold (Bank 1)”.

In such situation what should be my next step? I can take car to Suzuki but before doing so I want to make sure I am educated enough to not let them cheat me.

Catalytic converter is not working properly might be clogged.or faulty o2 sensor

How to clean a clogged catalytic convertor? My Suzuki 3S tells me no solution, they advised to remove it.
