Help regarding headlamp chrome

hello..
as you know the current spell of rains in islamabad....well the problem is today i looked at my sis cars right headlamp ..its black 2000 city ..
right headlamp is all fogged i hope what u know what i mean..the water than get into the lights due to silicon seal leakage ...i was thinkin of resealing in few days but today the chrome started rusting...
within one day huge amount of rust thing is visible..so how can i cure that
please give wise options ...and experts

its kinda urgent cox it literally hurt its looks from front..

bro get ur head light cleaned out just open it and clean it with a soft cloth and polish it with a chrome cleaner polish.or if that dosent throw's away the rust then u have to get re chromed.dont know about isb but in lahore v have a number of guys that do real and very clean chrome and ur part looks as good as new.
2ndly if ur crystal cover has faded then get it cleaned with 830 gerit sand paper. ur problem would be over.

the headlights of the 2000 honda city are plastic which has been painted to look like chrome, that means using chrome polish on it will make the finish dull and ruin the headlight. all he can do is open it and clean it with a damp cloth and if that doesn't work he can TRY to get it repainted but it'll be better to replace it.

any ideas if we can remove scratches from the headlamps ? I got some scratches on mine ....

if the lenses are plastic then to some degree you can polish them out. Get a tiny amount of "cutting cream" and mix it with some good quality polish, then spend the entire day buffing it by hand (do not use a orbital polisher as it can generate hot spots which will caus emore damage).

As storm meintioned that city 2000 head lamps are plastic base therefore they can not be re-chromed.and since it caught rust,u have only left with option of replacing them.

Are you sure there is rust on there? It's plastic as far as I know. The only solution is to replace it.

bro the headlamp even of plastic it was chrome before aswell it can be done now aswell and it takes approx 325rs to do it. and about the chrome polish it basically polishes only the top layer of the chrome paint as polished my friend's coure's hand lamp which had the same problem.its also made up of plastic and he got it chromed from some where in muslim town,lahore then i polished it and still its new.
the chrome only shines the top most layer without metal/plstic discrimination.

there is a person in rawalpindi (in front of NISHAT CINEMA) who do chrome job.
try him.

@doubletrouble bro u found the chrome guy ,ur rola solved u could goto him and get ur light chromed out!
