Help required regarding water storage tanks

salam all pws.. i live in isb in a flat and in our building water supply is big issue .. we can avail water for only 3 hours in evening and for rest of the day we have to store water in tubs buckets etc.. i decided to place a small loft tank in my balconi with a booster pump... can any one help me is it possible and about prices..so that i can make my budget..

How you will block water running from storage tank, so that it wont go in other flats as all the pipe lines are inter connected?

First of all you need to check about Laws regarding a water pump in your flat, if its illegal and how vigilant is the management against such stuff and watch out for nosy neighbors

Secondly i think its easy to install.. buy plastic tank install it with pump and a cut off valve behind the motor. Open the valve start motor fill the tank and close the valve.

when the valve is closed no water will come in the system or go out. since you have 3 hrs of water ideal time to fill it during that

thanks for your replies.. first of all there is no such rule in our building amd it we are paying bill of rupees 1000 each month for water use.. and owner said to store water because of water shortage .. and we are only 4 members..me my wife one 3 year old son and a 1 year daughter.. planning to buy a 200 gallon tank it,ll be sufficient i guess.. meanwhiel we have no neighbours around in our floor..many left due to water problems.. of course pump will not be disclosed to any one...

and management is very poor..it their responsibility to privide water via tankers but they didnot bother thats why plan this ..
