***Help wanted ! 2000 Civic or 2003/04 Platz?***

AOA Guys,

I need some help here. I am split between a choice of 2000 VTi Oriel and 2003 Platz unregistered.

Can u guys help me decide which one's a better choice by posting pros and cons of both.

Platz is not a good car, vitz is better option then platz is the same range, go for it

Nowadays the situation is lower than saturated and ANY car is hard to sell but Civic would be a better choice in terms of parts and resale. in case you still want a Platz, a friend has this to offer:

this is what i would strongly suggest because Japanese cars are way better than the local ones. i agree that the 2004 is more beautiful

but i would just like to help this poor guy who tried entering the race of imported vehicles' money. price, though more than reason is stil negotiable and may be seen any weekday before 4 PM

waisay mentioning your budget would've helped give better solutions.

Lemme post examples of wat I'm lukin at:

My range is between 525,000 and 575,000. Depending on the car and condition. Ofcourse the Platz I can get for a bit less, but registration and CNG would bring ti to same level.

I had previously decided on the Platz but recently a friend bought a 2000 Civic for 550,000 and I was impressed!

I have always been a fan of the 2000 Civic's shape but I have no experience with Honda's. Our's has been a family of Corollas since I can remember.

Hope this will help with more opinions.

i regret to inform you that the one you've posted is of 2004 while i have one of 2003 (different shape), CNG and Isb registered. the other plus point is that its been driven only 50000km. do let me know please if you're still interested in that so i can take the pics accordingly

Come on guys I'm still in need of help. Would a 7 year old Civic be trouble free? Will it's suspension hold on for another few years? What about the engine? How long will it last if it has been properly maintained and has done between 70,000 and 100,000 Km's?

Depends upon the owner! when i once commented how ugly the `97/98 shape is, Spectra chided me saying there was one whose engine was opened after 300,000km

i got civic and vitz (platz=vitz), both have different classes.. but i recomend CIVIC

I understand that they are both different classes, but the Platz will be Japan-driven and newer with less mileage.

Civic will be local driven with higher mileage.

An any1 point out the pros and cons? There must be owners of these two cars out here @pakwheels

platz is nowhere near vti 2000. thats what i think. its better in terms of comfort, drive, space, availability and cost of parts, and what and what not. simply not comparable.

yeah right, it's much better. the only draw back is the engine displacement because i don't think we even have the 1.3 versions here

go for Civic .more comfortable and very smooth ride.easy availability of parts and some reasle also.2000 civic is a very nice ride to have.

a good non accidental 2000 will still cost above 6 lakh

a 96-98(same shape) will cost u around 5.50-70
milage ranges from 150 k kms to 220 k kms

dont be fooled with the low milage thingy.

prices of the cars are nowdays on the upper side.

vitz is good car but parts are a big issue.
