Brother 2.7L in SUV may be sincerely avoided. Go for at least 3.5-4.5L engine SUV.
Used vehicle can be imported from Japan under personal baggage, transfer of residence, and / or gift schemes, but again, some differences in policies are there.
For SUV, the car can be at max. 05 years old from the year of manufacture, e.g. now in 2020, you cannot import a vehicle manufactured in 2014 or before. Only 2015 and above made SUVs can be imported.
The schemes are basically for overseas Pakistanis, however, still, are being used / abused here.
If you are abroad, especially in Japan, its easy and best.
If your relative / someone you know is in Japan, still possible and easy.
However, if none is there, then things can be difficult, as documentation charges / costs alone can be in many lac Rs.
Other than vehicle's price, and transportation, insurance charges, many other different taxes and duties are involved, most important being Customs Duty, which is the highest tax contributing factor.
It depends on engine cc, and hybrid / non-hybrid factor. The hybrid factor applies on 1500 cc min. and above.
For documentation, money trail is reqd. I think proof of tax payer is also reqd. Then, Customs duty is to be paid from abroad to Pakistan in US $$$s, and bank encashment certificate also needs to be shown. Lots of hassles are involved now, and at the end, process becomes extremely complicated or difficult, and / or cost also becomes quite high.
