Help with Dany FM Modulator

AOA WW,

guys, yesterday i purchased a dany fm modulator and install it in my car lighter. i checked it there and it was working fine, later when i drove the car and turn the modulator on it gives a strange problem. when the engine is switched on the modulator don't goes to next track and only plays the 1st song, but when the engine is switched off and car is only in Self mode, the modulator works fine and goes to next track itself. can you guys help me out with this problem ???

These are very unreliable. I know people who have had lots of problems with them. I got one from US and it worked fine for 1.5 years but somehow it got broken. So purchased one from a computer shop here. used it for two days and AUX port got broken so i gave it to a friend who did not need AUX and wanted to use the mem card function and guess what !? it burnt the wiring around lighter and player.

If its not working properly, throw it away and get a real player its better than getting your battery or wiring changed eventually. We get the cheapest of chinese products in Pakistan.

get the voltage of that ciggret lighter port checked with a digital multimeter...
this problem could be due to over voltage of less voltage...
btw in which car did you install it?

i use a non branded fm modulator since 2 years in my honda city
its work fine
i have no any problem like both members
one of my friend also start use fm modulator in his city. he also have
a audio & video CD player but he also said that his mostly CD's scratches
on putting dash board modulator work well

@Sharo53, what should be the appropriate voltage of the cigarette lighter port after the engine startup as the problem comes when the engine is in ON state.

Yes this is the same problem which I faced with my Margallah... There is some spark in the wiring & I would advise get rid of this Dany usb player... I wasted lot of money on curing the issue & when the issue was cured none of the usb players lasted more than 1 month... Very very unreliable.

Life of these modulators is variable, my first one lasted for 1 month and second one is still going 1.5 yrs. A very low quality product cannot last longer if repaired, all in all justifying its cost Rs. 250/-

it should be between 12 volts~14.50 volts

Hello Every1. Well, m new here. I just encountered a problem with my Dany FM Modulator too...!!! I bought it almost 1 years ago (somewhere in January 2012). First it worked fine for 9 months we never used the lighter for nothing except for this modulator, then we gave our car to our relative, the driver was a big smoker, he used the lighter for smoking, when the car came to me, the lighter was full of ash, I cleaned it up and put my modulator+usb but nothing happens. From that day to today, When ever I place my modulator, met the frequency, attach usb, nothing happens, no sound, nothing happens...!!! Plz Help...!!!
