Help with Dhoom YD70 Electrical/lights problem

Assalaamu alaikum all pakwheelers,

Trying to diagnose and fix some electrical problems in my 2009 YD70. When I bought it, only the ignition switch, headlights, and horn were working, the indicators and brake lights not working. Previous owner said that the mechanic disconnected something otherwise they are fine and in working order.

So far I checked bulbs and confirmed that is not the problem; then I opened the front headlight assembly thinking maybe wires there might be disconnected- but everything there was connected and fine as far as I could tell.

Any ideas what to check when headlights are working but other lights are not? I have multimeter for testing.
Can anyone tell me are the indicators and brake lights also AC like the headlights and what should the voltage be?

Also, I noticed there is a toggle switch under the bike hidden inside the tank on the right side which only has one wire attached. Any ideas what this might be for? Is it stock or some modification?

I also own 2009 model dhoom. Haven't seen any toggle switch inside tank. Where is that wire going /coming from?

Also your problem is not clear

Are the indicators not working whatsoever or their only don't work when headlight is turned on.

They don't work at all.

Check for continuity in wires but you may have to move seat.

It's held by two bolts at the rear.

Thanks for that. From that video I was able to learn that besides headlights, the other lights are DC as is the horn. So that eliminated any problem up to the ignition switch.

This turned out to be the problem for the indicators. Under the cover there were actually two flasher relays for some reason and it was plugged in the non working one so as soon as I plugged it in the other they were working.

Now just the brake lights are not working- but I guess I know what that is since the handlebar switch and wire is not even there and the foot brake switch seems to be broken. So I will replace them and see what happens. (Also, noticed the battery fuse is missing)

I guess it must be from some modification they had done and then took out? Any idea what it could be- here are pictures:

There's the switch with one wire going to it which is disconnected on the other side. Also there is something else on the top there with a wire connected on one side and other side the thick black wire not connected to anything. and in the center bottom of the picture held by a bracket is a thin black wire that is also disconnected.

Here, coming from the top and going to the middle of the picture is the wire from that switch. And there in the center is another wire that is not connected to anything. Any idea what that might be?

Seems previous owner has done some alterations in it.
In 09 model the spark coil is placed under tanks which I do see. Besides I do see another one sitting in battery compartment. The extra wire might be from that alterations..
The switch is outside of fuel tank andhe might have added some extra goodies which he would control from here nothing to panic. Not present in stick bikes.

I am sure it's stick spark coil went faulty so another one is installed on battery compartment and the extra wire and extra thick black wire are from that original coil.

Yes, that's correct, there is a new spark coil in the battery compartment. I think he's also right, the switch seems like it's from a chor switch, I saw on qureshi auto's youtube about them.

So the indicator light was working for one day, then stopped working, not sure if maybe the other flasher was also old and just happened to go bad... I found a ripped wire on the rear brake light so I have to fix that... now since last night something else seems to have happened so none of the DC things are working, not even the horn now... Going to have to do some testing and figure it out, maybe one of the wires in the front headlight just came out.

There actually is no fuse, it's just connected directly.

Funny thing... last night I was driving and indicator lights and horn were not working, as expected. But then I kept pressing the horn again and again not really expecting it to work, and all of a sudden, it worked; then I quickly tested the indicator lights and they were also working. But after a few moments everything wasn't working again. Then as I drove around nothing would work but every once in a while the horn would work....

So what do you think? Loose connections? Or is it that the battery maybe is not getting charged fully so when it charges a little then it works?

Yes i think bike,s battery is weak or there will be no water in battery kindly check is there is any water is present in battery mostly peoples does not care its water level & in most cases battery get dried

The water is fine and I took out the battery and it was reading 12.85V. I went for a few km ride this morning and all the lights started working. Maybe I have to have the battery load tested at a battery store.

Now, I have to try and get the speedometer working... Is there an aftermarket replacement speedometer that has a rpm meter also included?

Bro open its headlight & search for red color wire that is main positive supply from battery check other wires which they will be connected with that wire they will be loose & here is digital speedo meter link with Rpm for any 70cc bike also price is very reasonable+payment is on delivery
