Help with Steelmate Security System

Guys I need your help with a steelmate security system I have installed in my suzuki cultus. Its sensitivity is way beyond its limit and the car starts sounding the alarm 10-15 secs after locking the car without anyone touching it etc. Now I need your help in either lowering the sensitivity of the alarm or removing the alarm altogether (so that only the central locking function works).

I know I can go to a car electrician but I want to do this myself and learn in the process. Would highly appreciate any help i can get. Can also post high res pics if anyone wants. Thanks!

there is a regulator on sensor switch, u can adjust sesitivity according to ur desire. If u are not familiar with the parts then go to person who installed it, he will remove ur complain.

where is this sensor switch installed?

it is installed in front right speaker cabin in dash board
(according to your problem i think any door switch is faulty(driver side or pessenger side) and it is not the matter of sencivity controler

it can also be due to a loose connection in the wiring !!!

3.loose wire

whats the point of having a securty system when every one know where it is ..my car got stolen on friday and it also had a stealmate alarm i think there just show piece ..

The problem still remains unresolved as I can't take out time to go to Montgomery Road. Security system maybe be useless in some cases but generally it is a life saver e.g. I get central locking and even in case of any theft attempt, it would warn by turning on the siren. I rarely park my car at unsafe places or outside the house so its basically a non-issue for me

Check the security system's main module. Its a box mostly fitted under steering column by local fitters. There will be some buttons ,jumper or a knob(depends on model). Fiddling with them will change the systems sensitivity.

there are two type of vibration sensors in market. in one method , vibration sensor is embedded into the main control module. in other, vibration sensor is housed in a seperate small plastic box. in both types it have knob to vary the sensitivity. Main control module is mostly placed under the steering side of desh board and you can find out by looking inside the deshboar from steering side. seperate vibration sensor is normally placed at backside of gloves compartment near your AC freezer or somewhere near to that.
Locate module and adjust the knob according to your need.
(in rare cases the main module or sensor module may be in the dashboard. in that case you have to visit the auto electrician)
