I have not got one yet, always stop at an intersection before turning - I did get pulled over once for sliding my car from an intersection - but the cop was pretty amazed that such an old mercedes held a nice drift and chatted a few moments and told me to be careful.

Every state is different. But i believe will not be much different, like hand held phone is not ban in all state. In NY its not allowed. As well as texting.

Points on license means increased insurance premium.. Allah ka shukar. In my 8 year driving here, not a single violation.. Good driver the red light camera ticket goes to the owner of the car but don't come on record

Just went through this thread and all the details you have put in about your VWs. I recently got a 2013 Passat and was more than happy with the performance of the 5 cylinder 2.5 SE until I went on the highway over 70 MPH. The cabin noise starts at around 70 MPH and certainly is no music to my ears. Tried searching up VW forums for fixes and stuff and the already hint that I've gotten until now is that the side mirrors might be a problem, since there were some online discussions that some Passats came with Jetta side mirrors. Not really sure...didn't really get much time to talk to the dealer because of my work schedule. Wondering if you have an idea about the Passat cabin noise and hopefully a fix/suggestion.

^ go back to VW dealer and tell your problem. If there is cabin noise from doors pillar area.. its for sure seals. If its from front/ engine then you will get used to it.. 2.5L in Jetta and Passat make that rough engine noise.. Its this your first VW? Its in warranty and you can get it fixed.. If you bought it in USA then Welcome to TN.. Passat is now made in USA. My 2013 Jetta SEL is made in mexico and my GTI is made in Germany bumper to bumper and I can tell each and every differnce how these are built. Cabin noise mainly due to door seals in VW. Where are you located? and which trim level you have?/ wheel, tire type?

Thanks for the reply. I feel the noise is coming from the A pillar..could feel it more when its raining and you can see the water being thrown out due to air pressure. Could that be the seals? This is my first VW...and the first move ever away from a VTec. Got the car in IL end of November and moved to NJ (Princeton area) recently. It's a 2.5 SE with Sunroof/Navigation with around 4,000 miles on it and the tires that come with it are Hankooks. I know Hankooks are a bit notorious for road noise but believe me in this case its the A Pillar and I'm a bit too particular to let go of it. Here are a few pictures:

^ please go to dealer. They have to replace the seal or check alignment of the door itself. A mm space can be enough to create a problem.. Go to dealer and file your complain ASAP.. NJ.. Lets meet sometime.

Less time between yellow and red....not good from a safety point of view. If you're going fast, then as soon as you see yellow you would have to make an abrupt stop.
