GOSH!!!! A NEW BIKE
One of the more surprising models revealed by Hero MotoCorp at the recent Indian Auto Expo is the 620cc Hastur. Considering the 250cc HX 250R, which Hero also debuted, is a relatively large bike in the Indian market, the 620cc Hastur represents an ambitious model for Hero and displays a direct connection with EBR?s engineering efforts.
A liquid-cooled 620cc Parallel Twin powers the Hastur concept. At this time we can't confirm bore and stroke figures, but Hero does state the Twin is an oversquare design. The company also cites power claims of 79 peak horsepower at 9600 rpm and 53 lb-ft of torque at 7750 rpm. Top speed claims are 240 Kmph, with 0-100 kmph (62 miles) acceleration in 3.8 seconds.The engine mated with 6 Speed gears transmission. Other engine features are Trellis steel tube frame. Controlled Swirl Injection (CSI) features ensures excellent fuel economy.
Hero Hastur have a stylish Twin-Halogen headlamp and Maintenance Free battery. There is also alloys, tubeless tyres and this bike will be available in Grey/Yellow colour shades. The bike measures 2015 mm, 820 mm and 1120 mm in length, width and height. 130mm ground clearance makes it is a perfect sports bike. The modern street-fighter styling enhanced by the twin projector beam headlights, LED running lights, integrated LED winkers and LED tail lights.
For safety the Hero Hastur equipped with Disc brakes in front and rear. There is also stand alarm, Step-up Seat, Pass-light, low fuel indicator, Low Oil Indicator, Low Battery Indicator. The Heavily slanted headlamp is similar with the Kawasaki Z1000. The instrument cluster is digital except the Tacho Meter is only analogue. The bike features High Oil Temp. Indicator and Choked Air Filter Indicator too

Hero Hastur will launch in upcoming years only, may be the end of 2014 or 2015 most probably. The total look of the bike doesn?t give an impression of production ready, and the EXPECTED price will be around 3.5 to 4 LAKH.
