Hiking from bagh to astore via kel, minimarg, domain and Kamri pass

Aoa. It's an unusual topic for most members but let's see the response. Anyone interested in hiking from Bagh to astore. It's hiking all the way, no use of any transport. Route would be from Bagh to Sudhan gali, Ganga choti, garhi dopata, tutwal, uthmuqam, sharda, kel, taobut, dudgai, kamri, minimarg, domail, then back to Kamri, crossing Kamri pass to astore. Estimated time is roughly 20 days. I shall arrange the accomodation. Cannot convince my couch potato friends. I have hiked from Taobut to dudgai, Kamri, minimarg, Kamri pass before. Interested persons can contact.

Dates are adjustable depending upon hike partners and weather. Usually kel and minimarg areas are completely free of snow by end June because we have to cross some 12000 to 13000 feet heights and Kamri pass is 14000 feet as far as I remember.

this is one hell on the long track. can u please share the details of your hiking tour of taobut to minimarg..?

From taobut I moved forward along the bakarwal track and stayed near dudgai then Kamri and then minimarg. Only tough portion is taobat to dudgai, then it's like a plain road upto Kamri, minimarg and domail. Regarding Kamri pass it has a relative height of about 6000 feet from Kamri, 6 hrs hike. From taobat to dudgai its like 5 hrs hike. From dudgai to Kamri 2 and half hrs and from Kamri to minimarg 2 and half hrs and same distance to domail. Hope it helps.

But I didn't crossed the Kamri pass to astore. I reached top and then turned back.From taobat to Kamri, minimarg, domail, back to Kamri then Kamri pass to astore will take 5 days.

few more questions. i believe this track needs special permission from army because its control line area..is it?? and according to you from taobat to minimarg its 10 hours track?? is it??

its really really a very hectic trek and lengthy ....
taobut to minimarg and domail looks good..

It cannot be done in one day. Can be done easily in 2 days. Will get all the permissions. I did it when I was posted there and time durations mentioned are at my peak fitness when I used to hike daily for 2 hrs.

Assalam oa laikum brothers
started at taobut at 0830
tracking along nala took 3 30 min then comes the crucial climb it took 2 hrs till top post .
then 50 min descending from top to dudgai village.. them 50 min jeep you ride to minimarg via kamri
note
1 without any luggage just water bottles
2 with local guide
3 high motivation and stamina
4 one night stay advised

Local guides are available at taobat for this trek and how much they charge ?

what about army permission because its senstive area ?
