It won't burst - the burst pressure of a tire is 3 or 4 times the number on the sidewall. It's a little known secret - I have been doing it for years, along with plenty of other people.

No noticeable change, or extra trips to the mechanic. The added stress on suspension is probably no more than those ultra low profile tires and giant rims people slap on cars.
