Dear PakWheels Family, Please organize a hill climb race on Margalla Hills road if possible. We don't have a proper track but we use this as a track for limited days like we do in desert rallies. It has some of the best turns which will have a good test for driver's skills and also will be safer than races on public roads. Until we don;t have a track we can use this road. Please consider this, it will also attract sponsors and we can also call some International race car drivers also for start. It will also highlight our local talent.
Army won't let us do it.
Ok. But what is the reason. If not possibly there, some other places can be selected.
Always welcome for a uphill climb, we can participate with our nissan groups. But army won't let anyone arrange an event.
They are already shutting down the Monal and will probably create an officer's mess there.
O.k so probably some other location where we can arrange it. Any ideas.
Guys think of some other areas where we can do it. In KP or somewhere else
What Monal is going to be shut down ? is this true sameer?
pakwheels has neither the interest or spine to do it. it is a commercial entity, they will do anything for money tho (and they are not interested in returning anything to community, no csr no sponsorships, only publicity )
Margalla hillclimb would be amazing but the event wouldnt be allowed becoz of fears of encouraging rash driving. Only way this can be done if army organizes it. Murree expressway is also another candidate but its not as good as margalla.
Unfortunately yes, it is sealed and even Google shows a permanently closed status if you search for Monal Islamabad.
Very sad. Everyone is talking about motorsports that it should grow in Pakistan but no solid work is done by any organization. How we are going to get international exposure? Not everyone has money to go abroad. There are some of the best drivers but due to lack of resources they lack behind.
Pakwheels is always there at all Motorsport events. Although they themselves haven't been the sole sponsor of a substantial event yet. It takes a lot of resources and tons of approvals to arrange an event like this.
Yaar thats really sad news
