Hilux 1998 LN166,165,167 3L engine, Fuel Consumption

Lately I'm switching from a regular sedan_corollaX1.5 to a a Hilux LN166 with a 2.8 liters Toyota 3L engine. But before i do that, i just need to comfirm how is it going to perform in city cruising and what mileage can i expect! I'm familiar with diesel sedans 2.0d corolla, that can go to 19km/liter. I'm looking forward to if i can achieve 11-12km to a liter on a 2.8liter hilux, or is it too much to expect from it. Hilux owners please give me your short input regarding consumption. Thank you

The Toyota Hilux's fuel average depends on the driving style. According to my experience, the Hilux has a fuel average of 8–10 KM/L in the city and 11–12 KM/L on the highway

sir @crankWolf its very unrealistic to expect sedan like economy from a Truck.
member @zanagra did the restoration few years ago and i found it interesting as well

How about Land Cruiser LJ72 (short wheelbase) with 3L? The gearbox used in LJ72 has gear ratios that produce better top speed and economy. I'm talking about the one with shorter wheelbase, would be better in maneuvering than a Hilux i suppose?
