Hey guys, I am facing an issue with my 2001 Hilux 3L NA (Non turbo) engine. The issue is that, after going for a certain time, the hilux just starts missing and slowly loose its acceleration and pick while pumping the accelerator doesn't affect the movement at all. Furthermore, if i press the clutch the RPM drops immediately and the engine shuts down. When i open the hood, i see that the fuel filter pump (liftie pump) is fully compressed. When i kill the engine, the fuel filter pump gets decompressed. When i pump it to remove the air, it starts, then goes normal but starts the same act after a km or two.
Here are the things that I have done so far,
- Changed the fuel filter pump 4 times (2 times for Kabuli, 2 China brand new)
- Blew pressurised air through the fuel filter pump and fuel tank line. (No blockage or debris was seen in there)
- Changed the whole pump but still caused the same issue.
However, today it started giving pure white smoke with a hint of blue in the 1st and 2nd gear, which was worrisome for me. I have tried all the mechanics and diesel labs in Rawalpindi.
Can someone please help with this, as it is very tiring and upsetting.
