Hi guys,
I made a trip to Sheikhupura to visit the famous Hiran Minar. Details of this monument can be found here. Basically it is a monument built by the Mughal Emperor Jahangir (also known as Sheikhoo) dedicated to one of his pet deer named Mansraj.
The trip was made on my Totyota Land Cruiser Prado 1997 Diesel 3.0 auto, and took 130 kilometers total from my house and back, which included
- Lahore to Sheikhupura Hiran Minar via M2
- Lunch at Ambrosia Place in Sheikhupura
- Back to home via M2
Total passengers were 2 adults (my wife and me) and 1 infant (my 14 month old son)
We left at 10am, and were at Hiran Minar at 11:30 (I drive a bit slow). After having lunch, we were back home by 5pm. If someone wants to visit, I think ideal time would be to leave Lahore around 4-4:30pm, so that you can reach before Maghrib, which gives you lot less sunshine and amazing lighting for some good pictures.
Pictures coming in the next few posts.
