Woah!! 10 yrs & I can recall so much in the wink of an eye, time did fly... I remember so many things, like the first time I met HB & Jag, I had exchanged a few emails from them & then Jag invited me over. I went there along with a cousin of mine because I wasnt sure what type of people they are & what if they keep me for ransom
I went there in the afternoon & on gate I told the watchman I am here to see Jagdesh or Hanif Bhatti. Jag came to the gate we had our introduction & I went it. It was 1pm & Jag called HB in his room to wake him up. Few mins later a man walked in in his PJs with a HUGE nokia communicator in hand (that was an era when small phones were cool) & Benson in other hand... He told me to wait till he wakes up & then he smoked a few cigarettes & had tea... After that we started talking
The gtg in May 2005, till 3pm we were sitting in PW office not sure if we should do it or not cuz we were afraid what if someone doesnt show up... & then one of us said lets do it, if no member shows up we'll call our friends, have a dinner & come back. Today I am glad we did that, cuz if we had not may be Pakwheels wouldn't have been what it is today...
I clearly remember at around 8 in the night we sat in HB's civic with HB driving, Jag sitting next to him & I & Musharraf at the back seat, we left from Pakwheels first office, first went to the petrol pump & from there we headed to Afradi INN, we didn't know we were going to change the image of Pakwheels that night... that was one major milestone... @akbargr8 @charterali @daudbros @azeem were the only four registered members that showed up that night, Akbar did bring Haris a friend of his & charter came with his younger brother, we also called a few friends...
I remember the SLR logo of Pakwheels, it was also created infront of me, we did it late night in PW's office & we were fussing over the fonts, we did fuss over the outline of car, its not SLR completely, we did make a few curves here & there as per our taste...
So many memories, Dial a Bakra, When HB got Pajero we started our sand dunes Sundays (which were Mud Bashing during rain), So many phaddas & so many members threatening to leave & we calling them all to make them stay... It was a family where one member is unhappy then head of family makes sure their problems are resolved...
There are so many memories but I cant put them all together cuz then it'll be a one big topic of its own... All I can say is overall the experience of Pakwheels has been good... I'm glad I registered to Pakwheels.com one night when I was searching for KIA Sportage on Google & came across Pakwheels.com, google had directed me to PW & it was a classified add of Sportage in Abbotabad.
I am proud to be a part of PW family from the early days, Thank you @libra for providing us with so many memories & so many friends who we can count on more than family.
