HKT Fuel Pump for Corolla Altis 2006

My car's fuel pump recently malfunctioned left me stranded on the road for a while. I headed to the nearest auto electrician who after checking all fuses and then the fuel line determined the root cause. He then recommended to get either the kabuli or the HKT fuel pump for the car, since the original one was not available nearby. As written on the packing its made in Japan.

I got the pump for Rs. 3300.

Its working fine. But I want to know:

How reliable this brand of pump is?
How many kilometers can i expect it to last?
Anyone having experience of using this?
Should i be keeping a spare one if its not reliable?

Keep using it till it breaks down. In parallel try to get hold of a reliable thing via some relative coming to visit pakistan from overseas.

Sold my car. The pump worked but was producing low sound as if cavitating. I drove it a lot afterwards but the noise kept coming. Maybe it was the noise of the motor.

Any issues with the race?....heard it has low fuel pressure...how long did you drive before selling? would you recommend it?

I drove it for 1k to 2k KMs. Drive wise there wasnt any difference. Didnt find the pressure to be lower.

I just bouhtg it for 4900 rupees and it makes sound whenever I install a good fpr

In average price, it is good option but a bit noisy.
If you have budget, then go for Original one.

An investment of 23k or more for original pump is worth it if u love ur car. Kabli ones are also fine.

This pump seems unreliable because of its noise. If u can change the pump urself then buy 2 of these and keep 1 spare in ur car.

Changed fuel pump to HKT, no noise so far, car is running fine. I'll update regarding the quality of pump after driving the car on long route
