HOBC + Normal Gasoline Fuel=?

if we add some liters of HOBC to normal gasoline fuel,

what will be benefit?

as some Pak Wheels members often said that they mix HOBC with normal Gasoline Fuel

share with us if you got experience

My car recommend min 91 OCT.. The manual say never mix two types. If I have used lower grade, it says don't fill up until reserve sign comes on..

Thanks to my friend who once took my TDI car and fueled it with regular gasoline. by mistake.

Not really. Mixing fuels of different octane numbers generally dont do much help in improving the performance. However, if u get a fill up of HOBC (just HOBC in the tank), then you MIGHT see a significant difference. you see different engines have different compression ratios and only using the right fuel that corresponds with the compression of your engine will provide you with peak performance.

My suggestions are to stick with your manufacturer recommendations to avoid any unwanted hassles.

Nope. I haven't been to any caltex pump. How much difference do you feel b/w caltex petrol and pso petrol? (and please mention car too!)

Well...I have felt difference in Techron and PSO/Shell fuel for sure. I never went for HOBC for my cars (I have an 05 cultus and a 2003 Civic Prosmatec). In civic which is on petrol (no cng), techron has much better response (good pick and consumption).
Cultus is carby (everyday car) primarily on CNG but I have a habit since the beginning to convert it over to petrol every night and then starting the day with it and so far also have felt significant difference in consumption and knocking while on techron then any other fuel. (every couple of days, i drive it on petrol for 2-6 kms)

u will sure feel a difference in techron since it has additives which clean the fuel injectors as we drive. shud go for caltex whenever possible. have heard good things about total (parco) fuel also but havnt experienced it yet. should avoid pso

you mix both fuels to get the correct result you want, usually its half n half. Using plain HOBC in a regular "chai paratha" car like a mehran, corolla, civic, margalla, liana etc etc. will actually result in poorer performance as the fuel tends to burn slower.

Knock is not always limited to fuel - and most mechanics sometimes blame "fektary faalt" and "haai aaktein petrol nahin hai" for their lack of workmanship.
