bravo is there any difference between chipped and reprogrammable ecu ?

I heard obd 1 ecus can be chipped.

From what i know it depends on the ecu and if some one has been able to flash it.
in chipped ecu they piggy bank the genuine ecu using another ecu to by pass few components.Where are in programmable ecu you can change the paremeters according to your requirement in order to fine tune the engine,

can you help me out with reading obd data of santro 2003.

it certainly does not follow the standard obd protocols.

my end objective is to calculate fuel consumption. i do not want to hook wires into the sensor.
