Just done it and back to computer to share this interesting story;
Found a very cheap (Sasta) LED which accommodates a total of nine big LEDs in a very small area for only Rs. 30/- only in Karim Pura Bazaar, Peshawar. Bought it and brought it, had no idea where to put them in home or in car, thus left them untouched for months. All of a sudden I thought of putting them inside my break lights, Hmmmm, sounds good.
The attached picture would say it all.
For for dim and break lights the same LED is used connected to a junction of two different resistors values are: 56 ohms (for break lights) and 100 ohms (for dim lights). For indicator's brightness I used two parallel 100 ohms resistance to LED. For a heat sink which is imparative for LEDs I used aluminum plates (the attached picture would say it all).
Point to be noted please; Raw LEDs require some bits of knowledge of electronics to successfully use them for lasting quality. It is not just a bulb which could be directly fitted to the battery wires. It requires properly calculated resistance and LED drivers at some points to increase their life. A good LED may live for more than 50 years or more. This is also one reason that I've switched to LED.
I already have LED head lights which were imported few months back costed about 11,000/- along with reflectors (better quality than stock). In headlights, do remember, just putting a good light bulb is never enough. You need a good reflector to work things right.
Another thing I must mention; The LED headlights do not disturb the drivers facing my light cause they are genuinely designed to ensure legal issues regarding headlights on high ways.
Why LED; because they last longer than any light bulb out in the market and secondly they eat very little battery. even with my car battery my head lights can work for hours, on the other hand the stock bulbs can kill your battery in minutes.
ok guys bye for now.
