Trusty Old Cub Needs repair:
I think 10 years back or so, my father bought a Honda Cub 50cc model 1975 in mint condition for Rs.33,000/-
After 10 years of service the engine needs some work...... need new pistons, rings...... new gear set for its 3 speed gear box........total cost estimated by the mechanic is 5,000.
Repair or replace:
Money is not an issue, as my father uses it...... we need a tension free motor.........therefore i'm thinking of replacing the whole engine.
Mandatory requirement:
I have just 1 mandatory requirement, it has to be an auto-clutch or automatic transmission. Father cant handle clutch, we bought a 50 in the first place for this reason only.
Preferences:
Wouldn't mind a self starter.
Things I dont care about:
I dont care abt fuel economy........ I dont care abt replacement cost.......
Things I care abt:
Tension free running........ reliability....... easy maintenance.
Decision:
Should I rebuilt the old motor or replace it...........im more inclined towards replacing it.........what shud I replace it with...... has to be an auto clutch.
