The vehicle you go for will depend on your use, whether it's being used as ur personal car, with just you driving it, or if it's being used as a family car.
In terms of maintenance costs, the parts availability for the old Accord is going to be difficult for more tricky parts such as alternator, clutch etc etc. Service parts, air/fuel/oil filters will be no problem but will be far dearer than a Santro.
Also have the vehicle checked by a good mechanic, with an old accord you can expect electrics and suspension problems both of which are fairly common.
Other parts for the old Accord are going to be very expensive and difficult to find such as genuine mirrors, mirror shrouds, bumpers, headlights etc etc.
