Honda Accord 2008

Hello All,

I am interested in buying Honda Accord 2008 but unable to get the information from reliable sources when it will be launched here in Pakistan. I will appreciate if you can share me the launch date if you know some really reliable sources.

The other option is Camry but I am more inclined towards Accord and for this very reason waiting for its launch.

Honda Atlas are introducing the accord in March this year, so wait while you can, it's gonna be an awesome car.

As the brand new 2007 accord ex-showroom is 28.15lac, the 2008 acccord might be slightly up interms of price.But, then i guess it's worth every penny.

ONemore thing, can you explain as to why are people still inclined towards the crappy cl-9 and the cheapest shot of this era, the mark-x?

this trend is changing, people are turning towards buying brand new accords all of a sudden. The USDM accord is much more luxurious and comfortable,and offers an excellent ride and host of standard features. is more sure footed interms of handling.

USDM accord is getting better also interms of resale point of view, as banks have tightened finance/lease policies, and also mainly cos, of regressive import rules. buying an accord wont be a bad investment.

During my recent business trip to Singapore, I checked out the new Accord (2.4 l without navigation model) at one of the dealership. The car is huge compared to its competitors model like Camry, etc. The leg room at the back seats is ample and seems very comfortable. The driving panel is good but when you compare it with new Civic, it looks dull.

The new Accord looks amazing in Polished Metal Metallic color.

As far as people going for CL9 is concerned, people wants to get some sort of luxury in driving big cars who does not take their money seriously. They could have bought a brand new car in that kind'a budget but I guess for the driving big cars (from their perspective) is on higher priroty than the value for money.

Actually we don't get the USDM version, we get the Thailand model which is more luxurious than the USDM one. Though the shape is the same, the engine is totally not.

fyi docebzz and memphis the accord is categorized as a mid-sized luxury/family sedan, finesse it has, but if you need sportniness go for an s2000, or an rx-8!

sportniness and luxury dont go together! to get either one you've got to sacrifice one or the other.

cl-9 is crappy, cos when they arrive here they're already past their half-life! spare parts availability causes problems, and the cl-9 has software issues.

and when ohne talks about budget, to save mere pennies you buy a 3year old wornout cl-9, get real people. quality always comes at a price.

dude there is a lot difference in japan accords and thai accords...japan still produces the CL-9 shape in accords and if i were to buy an accord i would import a brand new from japan rather than buying those thai craps.

yes but the official paki accord is known as US model bcoz the main distinction is b/w the Jap and the US model.

USDM Accords/thai assembled accords are a class apart from those shitty secondhand/used cl-9s roaming the streets of pakistan.

docebzz have you actually ever driven the usdm accord in realtime?? i drove the cl-9 and it's suspension is so freakin' hard and ride is uncomfortable, to hell with extra ounces of bhp.!!!and it's speed is limited to 180, and it doesn't even touch 170 on m2. my thai accord went upto 215km/h on m2, so much for cl-9's sportiness.

similarly accords may be imported in thailand in skd or ckd conditions. Just a thought.

The auto market dynamics in Pakistan are beyond even the most skilled and experienced economists. We judge car prices based upon STUPID and mindless factors like popular demand, color, or my personal favorite, crappiness of the car (A.K.A. corolla xli) Why the HELL does a car that's 3 or 4 years old have a better re-sale than a car that's brand new?!?! The car MAY look sporty, but it's small (a little bigger than the civic) and because of that it isn't the car it's supposed to be. Mostly all of us are young here and we care about people looking at our cars but we're not the ones with the money to buy most of these cars. The people who have the money prefer the thai accord because it LOOKS like a bigger car and not just re-shaped '04 civic....
