new honda spin clockwise, this old honda accord A16 engine spins anticlockwise, B16 wont fit because the B16 fits to chassis that had the D series engines.
This chassis only fits the A series engines and 2 B series engines that are now very very rare, the forward canted B20A with the massive vacuum box.
or the B18A with twin carburettors - again forward canted. The gearboxes that work with these two engines are extremely rare too. - the power steering also goes into the gearbox on this accord as it reduces power assist through that system (governor on speedo pickup) when the car speeds up.
doing any other swap means you basically have a piece of trash in your ownership, cutting the right chassis leg to accomodate the larger gearboxes of modern honda engines make the car flex when it hits bumps as the front subframe tries to pull the car - the mounting on the honda A16 is very odd, the engine loads on two mounts on the subframe and one timing side one, the engine is arrested on movement by two torque mounts - one long dogbone and one small rectangle under the gearbox.
whatever you do - if you dont follow these original design spec - the car will become scrap metal.
