Honda Aspire 1.5 2016 with Orange meter

I recently bought a Honda City 2016 Aspire 1.5 prosmetic and the car is in very great condition with 9 marks in Pakwheels inspection.
The car is very good and in original mileage.

After spending some time around the PakWheels forums, I haven't found any detail regarding meter as in 1 form it says that in 2015 meter was changed to white/blue light meter but my car has orange light meter.

Pls someone explain why it is like this and explain this model's history a bit

Sorry to say your car has been gutted, it's 100% kabli meter and what else is stolen and replaced with crap parts no one knows.

2015 and onwards model are with blue and white meter lights. Your tail lights and front gill is of 2016 model. There might be a possibility that your meter was changed before you purchase the car.
2009 - 2014 models were with orange lights.

As per official documents and Islamabad records, Car was purchased in May 2016. The number is also May 2016.

Then meter is changed with old model. What the overall condition of car? Have you checked with previous owner? Ask him why the meter is changed and if meter is changed then obviously Odo meter reading will also be not correct

Car is in very immaculate condition (PakWheels report is at 9.1). Engine, transmission is matched with the papers of vehicle. Not accident and not very much driven as owner resides in England. Only key as 2nd key is with owner. Meter was changed due to some malfunctioning and he changed it from local market (as per his father). 76000 is original mileage even verified from ECU.
Is there any possibility to check all the details through VIN or Chassis number.

meters are not easily malfunctioned unless there is some major issue. Also why the previous owner did not get it changed through Honda authorized dealership and even it was changed through a local mechanic the replacement should have been with the same meter not with the old meter. But if the overall condition of the car is good as you are telling then i think you can get it change back to original light meter.

That's what I have been thinking now, but as the original owner is not in Pakistan and that person's father didn't know the detail so it's of no use. But as report as well as original documents concerns, Car is all in original condition with same engine and transmission.

How did you verify mileage from the ECU? Also, clusters don't go bad at 76,000 kms unless you fiddle with them.

if the cars engine body and documents are clean
no need to sweat
you can again search and replace the meter whenever u want to
which is not required if this one is working fine

This model year did not come with piano black on the climate control area (could be an after market part with the multimedia system) or chrome on the AC vent adjuster. The whole dash looks replaced to me, but that's just a guess of what I could understand from the pictures you shared here.

There is no need to stress if the car is non-accidental, working fine, or doesn't feel rough to drive.

Bro, is it genuine prosmatec? Because I know in last 1-2 years many reborns and city converted to auto from manual as manual had low resale. Is it mentioned in papers its auto?

Converted cars needed meter to be replaced. Otherwise normally meters dont fail that easily but anything can happen to any part of the car so Allah knows better.

I agree to you. A lot of cars are converted to auto and ecu plus meters replacement is required in that case. But here the model is 2016 on papers so it should be replaced with same model automatic transmission meter not with old model meter unless the local mechanic knows nothing about it.

Do tell us how did you verify this? The biggest problem buying a second hand car is the meter reading especially in Pakistan. And it does happen in other countries as well. Though never heard about ecu meter reading verification. IF that is possible pakwheels should also add it in the check list of inspection report.

And if you some how verified the reading from ecu, still there is not guarantee of it. What if along with meter the ecu was also changed.

Also, something I noticed in this picture was the brake pedal with eroded rubber padding, which is normally seen on high-mileage cars. not normal for a 76k km driven car

Prosmatec sticker is also after market and placed at wrong place so may be it is converted to Auto transmission later but we cant make any judgement based on stickers alone but i am just trying to connect the dots.
