Honda CD 70 vs CG 125 vs others for mileage & comfort

This may hurt the 70cc riders, but honestly I have never driven anything more uncomfortable than 70cc bikes. Balance of these 70cc bikes is no good, brakes poor, comfort factor completely absent. CG125 is by far better when it comes to above mentioned points, and deluxe is even better but has less fuel average. Go for CG125, my 03 model still gives me above 45km per liter better than many 70cc bikes two or three years old on the street.

@ZEE991.....Brother i would like to buy u Yamaha janoon if it is in ur price range....i had this bike for more than a year..its gives an average of 50+ easily and goes upto 65+km/liter,depends upon road condition and ur way of drive...
Another reason of favouring this bike is that it has stylish look and has powerful engine as well.u have to take special care of it b/c it made up of mostly plastic...
FINALLY go and buy yamaha junoon...

The grannie ran great for a long time but I always had one problem with that bike before I sold it in 2003, the bike would never start unless I pulled the whole throttle, no tuning by any mechanic could fix it. Today when I see Yamaha's current bikes I notice a similar problem with them, compared to that Honda's bikes start on half kick without giving any throttle. There must be a reason why I still keep my 03 CG125 which after all these years starts like a brand new bike. Even though Honda's quality has deteriorated but still its better than Yamaha.

Thanks bro, that is helpful info. One of my friend also told me that sometimes his junoon takes a minute to start and while starting gives feel as if the tank is empty with petrol.

yar har bike ke apne nakhre hote hain, ye rakhne wale pe depend karta hai ke wo kitne naaz utha sakta hai bike ke. agar ap ko junoon bohat pasand hai to begair kisi dusre khayal ke le lo, zayada sochne se confuse hi ho ge. CD 70 bhi care mangti hai or junoon bhi.

No exact but 40-45 on 125 and 48-50 on CD 70

On long you'll feel 125 better
If want suspension and comfort 125 deluxe crossed all bikes in that

If its 100cc then Junoon, otherwise I'll prefer 125 delx as just adding more bucks and milegae ma bi just +5 km ka he farq ha....but you'll you are riding bike which actually like heavy bike....best grip, disks...best road grip...my vote is for 125 dlx

RAvi Piaggio is best in comfort and Road grip and deluxe comes after it, i havent seen such a comfortable suspension in any bike

Junoon is not a reliable bike and built quality is quite poor. I own the bike and it's my personal experience.

I have one question. your selection is considering between three bikes two from honda and one from yamaha. Why you haven't included Suzuki 100 & 125 CC. One of my friend had their 150cc and now he has 100cc now. It has selfstart excellent road grip and power and the milage he told is 55-60km/liter.

keep your speed at 40km, not more and before it it must be assured that the carborator of your bike is correctl.(mecanics of honda showrooms often have a digital screw driver which adjust the fuel and race). choose a smooth road and enjoy the ride. i weak back i experienced it and i was shocked that my bike did 76km. i was excepting only 50 km bcz this was the average of my bike when i used it badly and goes on above the economy speed. even my bike is 4 years old and 29000 km used. it,s 2008 model. i think new model is more better.

That's a lot of variation....
Above economy speed :50Km/L , and within economy 76Km/L???? Difference is just way too much.
I have Junoon and i can get 55Km/L with very soft hand, otherwise in my normal daily use it gives 50Km/L, and if i go crazy on acceleration mileage drops to 45Km/L. So variation in my bike mileage is just 10Km/L (45~55Km/L).

mein ne bhi CD70 rakhi thi 2 month tak, wo 55Km/L nikalti thi daily use mein, aur ab junoon 50Km/L daita hai ...
itni si mileage ke liyay grip, comfort, power sab sacrifice karna kahan ki akalmandi hai???
I don't understand the craze about CD70.... why not spend little more and get CD100???

CG 125 creates more vibrations on higher RPM,s than a 70.
Comfort level of both of them is almost the same because both are having the same kind of hard seat.
CD 70,s suspension are a bit softer than the CG 125.
In the long run CG 125 takes the lead but for daily commuting in city CD 70 is a better choice.
Mileage of a properly tuned CD 70 is around 50~60km/litre.
For a CG 125 its around 40~45km/litre.
Do note that the mileage also depends alot on your way of driving.

I dont know why the poster isnt considering sprinter/raider or CD 100..They are the best in terms of balance b/e economy and comfort..And Cd 100 sales are getting higher day by day.

CD 100 will resolve both your queries....I filled my bike with fuel worth of Rs 400 at the time of purchase..The odometer has done 225 Kms till now and it still going without reserve giving me roughly 58Km/litre.Also in terms of comfort and road grip CD 100>125..I wont b budge myself with any 70 cc bike but If you want an entry level bike with economy as you are a student CD 70 would suit you best,70 is recommended for short trips.For long trips it will wear you out and CD 100 is recommended for long trips.

Cg 125 is eyecandy for thieves and snatchers(you will have to get this ride insured)and its too powerful..Just power and causes the most accidents on the roads.
If you are interested in an Honda make/model always buy from a good/popular antenna 5s dealer in your vicinity.

Same foolish thing happen o me in 2010. When i was insisting to buy cd 70 and my brother was after cd 100. There are always SO CALLED the INTELLIGENT people around you who are always say see the market, my brother bought cd 100 and i bought cd 70. But now i regret my decision par kiya kiya ja sakta hai banda experience say he sikta hai. ab main khud mostly logon ko cd 100 suggest karta houn. Excellent bike by AHL
