Honda CG 125 Dream - First Impressions

[I]@ amjad mechanics to company ki zuban boltay hain yar, unhein kya lagay kisi ki 125K ki Deluxe faulty niklay ya during workmanship damage ho jaye scratch parr jaye un ko zara fark nahi parta, i really hate ******* mechanics, they dont even care of anything, brand new bike ke nut bolts nahi kasnay aatay saaloan ko, tools in ke pass proper nahi hotay, ghassay pittay T rods jo waisay hi slip kar jatay hain or ap ke fuel tank, muffler, mudguards, winkers ko hit kar jatay hain, scratch daal ke aap ko bike pakra daitay hain meri to jan jati hai mechanics say, main to sara kaam khud hi karta hoon bike ka, or main ne tools bhi apne hi purchase kiye huay hain anyway ab real story ki tarf aatay hain

Company sirf apni pocket bhar rahi hai is wakt, company humein quality bikes daine nahi baithi balkay apna kharboan tarboan ka business kar rahi hai, factory mein aaye din test hotay rehtay hain har model ke ooper, ke kis tarah internal parts ko change kar ke local parts laga diye jayen or kaam chalaya jaye, tum believe nahi karo gey last month CG 125 Euro ke oper intna sever test kiya inho ne uska carb. change kiya or local sprockets dali local cdi units dalay or waisay hi market mein bhaij diye, Chassis# starting from 71 to 72 all bikes are faulty, almost 10000 bikes can you imagine such a huge blunder ...... inho ne jo bhi test karna hai wo ek single bike pe karein lekin inho ne wo sab bikes market mein phaink dien, gear box ki awaz aam banday ko pata nahi chalti, wo new 125 ke charm mein har nooise ko standard hi samjhta phirta hai, Senior CG lovers easily judge any un necessary noise coming from any part of the bike.so i will suggest you to be very careful, in mechanics ke peeche lago gey to nuksan tumhara hi ho ga, soch samajh ker faisla karna, ager ziada shoak hai to main factory mein say ek sheesha piece tumhe bhaij daita hoon, jis dealer ke pass mangwani ho bike uska address mujhe bata daina, or apni marzi ka engine number or chassis number bhi bata daina wo bhi mil jayega, meri dream ka chassis number DB000001 hai yaani sab say pehli Dream bike jo ahl ne banai wo main ne li hai speciall tayar karwa ke factory say...if you want Chassis like DB001111 or DB001000 or any figure you like it will be there for you

Brother i agree with you. But why is it, that when i say "Honda is NOT any better than the compeition" ... people lose their brains and still think Honda's bikes are better and more reliable? Ye 1 general misconception hay hum logon k beech, k honda is still making quality durable bikes. Mera point ye hay ke ye sub baqwas hay. Because all bikes have problems, and at this point ALL of these bikes are similar in quality. I'd rather pick a Piaggio or a GS150, than buying a Honda.

a.o.a guys im new on pakwheels and dont know how to start a new thread.i own 2010 honda cg 125 and having aproblem with its not going above 95 kmph speed i have changed the pressure plates and clutch plates as well brand new plug and tunnning and im using zic hiflo engine oil butspeed is still 95 kmph pick is good and engine is also 100% claimed by different mechanics who have checked my bike but bike is not really powerful and exciting it seems rubish to me its only 24 k driven till date please advise me how to improve its ride im not a speedy guy i just like to ride it smoothly.... and once more thing when ever i drop the accelator the bike produces ptakha sounds and iy feel really embarasing to me mechanics say that they dont have any idea abot that

thank you for your reply i have changed my plug and its gone now but speed is still at 95 kmph and im using high octane in my bike i dont use normal fuel still ist giving such a bad performance

stop using hi octane it not suitable for cg engine

Change the plug, get an iridium plug and tell the mechanic to set the carb to rich mixture.

bohut nazuk surathal hai dost... CG can shoot to 120kmh for small amount of time .... 98kmh is like getting abused from a CD100 some day..

I have a china CG and it is an ego killer for any big bike on local streets.

there are multiple reasons which make a combine effect on a bike lousy performance... I can only give guide lines virtually here to you rest you have to hunt the problem down your self..

First check if the Compression is fine if not then repair/replace the faulty parts or even head or Cylinder... but if its OK then check the below listed parts in the same sort order as they are listed.

1 - Carb. settings and Ignition Coil and Plug (IF OK then check for point 2)
2 - Stator Coil (IF OK then check for point 3)
3 - Pulsar (IF OK then check for point 4)
4 - Magnet Timing advance problem due to bad poles in magnet ( You will never reach at point 4 unless you are using a China bike )

Note: @ammarzahid, now after some time when this question will be asked again some Donkey will right these recomendations as suggestion by them in there ridiculous ANGLISH....

as your were using hi oct you engine will be full of carbon I would say pour good quality oil and then drain it in 500km and you engine will be carbon free and will perform bit better

a.o.a hope to find you guys in good health and spirits. guys i went to the mechanic and asked him fix the problem he did the following replacements.
1. changed my battery with a new one.
2. replaced the electrofier.
3.changed the plug with a brand new one NGK.
4. oil chage was done .
5. carb. is cleaned and mixture is set to the best what my mechanic thinks.
6. wheel alignment.
7. changed all the four bearings of wheels.
8. replaced the speedometer machines both RPM and Speed.
9. brand new meter gears in front wheel and meter cable.
10. tuning of engine, filter cleaning, oiling of different parts etc bla bla and tappets were also adjusted for having a good speed.
11.i also replaced both clutch and front brake cables.

now, the bike is riding light and less vibration but speed is still 98 or you can say 99 KMPH sometimes no change. brand new honda pressure plates and clutch plates were also installed about a couple of weeks ago. yes when given a full throttle the front tire leaves the road sometimes but test run it again 92 model cg125 and i lost by kms you can say i went back to the mechanic and he said "Sir ji meri samaj ton bahir hai k ki masla hai tuhadi bike nu" then i went to another mechanic he said "bhai aapki bike k egine khula nai" i said tu nahi khula hai yeh genuine hai he said "bhai khulay say matlab sahi tarhaan bhagiya nahi kabi aapne. isko long route per lay ker jao or bhagao theek ho jai ga".... yeh engine kaisay khoolna hai ab yeh kia cheez hai ???????????

and one more thing i forgot to mention is k my bike is driven on hi octane never used regular petrol.. my silencer used to be neat and clean and sound was just like brand new cg... after doing all the mentioned changes in my last comment my silencer is black now from inside....

the mechanic tuned your cg was not professional he made the fuel mixture too rich that why carbon is deposited on silencer/exhaust if bike is running to rich you will not gain performance how much km on odo if your bike is driven less than 5000 km than after 5000km performance will increase

the mechanic replaced the machines of speedometer.... and i also test run it against my friends cg125 1992 model but he defeated me both in pick and top speed even on top speed he was much ahead of me .... i'm selling my bike now .... i want to buy cd200 please adivise me is it a good option ??
