Honda CG 125 Dream - First Impressions

the mechanic replaced the machines of speedometer.... and i also test run it against my friends cg125 1992 model but he defeated me both in pick and top speed even on top speed he was much ahead of me .... i'm selling my bike now .... i want to buy cd200 please adivise me is it a good option ??

saboor bhai somebody told me that it gives 32kmpl... but i was also but shaky about his mechanic and parts availability. please advise me good bike for daily commuting with peace of mind and nice power i dont speed all the time but i do need power when required.. my cg is 2010 model and i only did 98 kmph when i was done with its break in then i tried it to its full throttle in 2014 a month ago i guess and i was extremely disappointed as i lost to a suzuki sprinter i hate cg now ... its a noise producing crap for me

Go to Atlas Honda showroom and get it tuned from there don't rely on these road side mechanics. Your gear shifting could also be a problem, remember to drag properly before shifting gears.My GS also used to touch only 100 km/h b?cause of poor gear shifting.

i use to live in lahore my mechanic was good guy abd knows very well but now im in faislabad and i find road side mechanics even i went to a big honda antena shop but mechanics are same.... please tell me if somebody know a good mechanic around me in faisalabad ??????

cd 200 is just for ppl how are in love with the bike and can spent to much on it the thing I will tell many ppl you will deny but cd200 is not that reliable bike and sprinter is faster than cg I am seen many cases like this but some ppl at pw just don't want to accept it :S I would say get a gs put free flow exhaust and irriduim plug I bet you will be amazed with it power

is engine parts and mechanic easily available for GS .... i have seen GS 150 on road they dont make too much noise and person is also preceived as a gentleman when riding that bike as my old shape CG is sign of vulgarity now... one wheelers, dako people etc use it

what is average of GS ? and it brakes and comfortability ?

gs braking is avg,performance v.good,comfort nothing beats that,fuel avg worse 38km/l best 45km/l gs parts and mechanic are available

GS average worst is 28km/L. Source: i have a gs ans experience this. Regular avg is 38

usually its no serious issue common inaccurate settings of clutch or engine speed is set low
regarding sound i am unable to understand from here what kinda sound does it produces if
its running fine no sound in gear or running i think its just sound of engine shutting off as the
bike either clutch or engine speed or even mixture settings are not set properly

i suggest you go to honda antenna mechanic or honda warranty claim mechanic in your city
tell him bike engine is shutting off when leaving it in idle position or like you said when pulling clutch

what type of sound it is. is it a "puft" type sound from engine and not from exhaust of it is a loud phata type sound from exhaust

I wonder how many bikes they will make on the same engine?
They really need to bring in some new engine flavour.

the thing is this engine is a low maintenance bike. Unless the new technology brings that (low maintenance) with it, no one can break the market of cg125. Right now Euro2 cg 125 is the best upgrade of the line. Gs150 is good and even new Yamaha would be good but are the low maintenance? reliable? hm not proven yet. gs 150 is certainly not!

Yea, gs certainly isnt a reliable bike. I mean in 10 months of owner ship ive had to take it to the mechanic for a total of ONE time for tuning. Too much maintenance

i wish to be wrong in case of gs 150 but i have the worst experience in keeping one. it was a love hate relationship with my g150

Its the same for me too. And it will always be, because the bike itself is low quality. But the engine is solid and its a nice platform for mods.
