I searched a lot for inside silencer cleaning of Honda CG 125 but there are hardly 1 or 2 threads on different platforms.
I finally started this procedure and found good results. Please keep in mind before doing this, that the silencer sound you actually want, can get from the new silencer only but by this method, its sound and exhaust will improve up to maximum level. (as old silencer can)
After dismantling I close the wholes with insulation tape and other plastic sheet material so there is no chance of leakage.
From the inlet side, I put 1-liter kerosine oil and place it for a few hours so all the carbon deposits, rust, and blockage can be softened and removed.
After a few hours, I shake it for some terms
Get a soft and not much wide iron strip that can be easily bent. put it through the inlet hole of the silencer and scratch for few terms in all directions as much as you easily can.
Drain the oil from the silencer, you can easily examine the particles and deposits in the oil.
Oil turn black.
Clean the whole silencer with a cloth.
Clean all holes of the silencer with a cloth.
Make sure all the oil drained properly.
Put the silencer back to the bike and tight as per standard with necessary measures.
Start the bike and get a ride for a few kilometers and give proper runup and full throttle.
You can observe a clear difference in the smooth exhaust and much better sound.
This procedure will cost you around PKR:130/- and few hours.
