Honda City 1.3 Auto 2018 model

Hi,

I own Honda City 1.3 Automation 2018 model in Karachi. Total mileage is around 100,000 kms.

In city I get a fuel consumption of less than 7 km/l. with 30 liters fuel it hardly touches 200 km.

Car is being maintained from Honda with timely replacement of parts.

As per Honda fuel consumption is normal.

Please advise.

I have kept 02 cars Honda Citys. a 2009 AT and currently a 2011 AT.

previous one for 02 years between 2013 and 2015, when the fuel was ungraded.

Worst consumption 12.2 kmpl and best 15.75 kmpl. and avg 14.17kmpl. (over 17,668 km and 41 nos. fuel fillups)

The current one has given best consumption over 16.5 kmpl and avg consumption in access of 14.5 kmpl. data now not maintained. oil used since day one is 5w20 ZIC. now over 160k km driven.

Maybe its the difference between the traffic of RWP / ISB and KHI.

recently bought a city prosmatec 2017. 66k km done. karachi. fuel avge shown on meter was 8-8.5 only. owner told me he just poured havoline 10w30. i ran car for a week but avge was same. i then poured zic 5w20 and changed air filter to Guard, recalibrated the throttle. the instant change i observed was fuel avge jumping to 11. have kept 2 same model cars.this car is very sensitive to air filter, plugs and engine oil. also, local mechanics give ghusl to throttle body without calibration which is mandtory. karachi scene is total bad, so dont expect anything further. anything above 10 is acceptable for me for this car

I got my hands on 2018 1.5 AT Standard variant with tires upgraded to 185/65R15 instead of 175/65R15 65,000 kms driven.

When i got the car it was doing 7.5/8 KMPL.

I got its basic service, Tune-up done and changed the gear oil, Later realized it was always ready to jump forward on gear (Rpms were high on idle) got it recalibrated.

I've only managed to get 10.5/11 KMPL

On similar route Cultus manages 14/15.5 KMPL.

One thing I've noticed is if I drive City without AC the average on meter drastically changes.

Very true w.r.t Karachi scene. Really not sure how people write 15/16kmpl for this vehicle

My 2022 Aspire CVT does 12 / 13 lumsum.

Thoose people really dont know how to calculate.
