Honda City 1.3 ivtec manual 2009 rpm drops when brakes are applied

Aoa,

I have Honda City 1.3 ivtec manual 2009 model. I am facing a problem regarding rpm. When ever the car is slow down by applying brakes rpm drops below the set point and engine goes towards shutting, especially while slowing down at a speed breaker or a slope. Can anyone please guide regarding the problem and it’s troubleshooting.

Idk much about Ivtec technology..but I had city i-dsi of 2008 it once started to have a higher rev upto 3000 rpm automatically when ever braked ...I got it checked it was some issue in choke of engine and was fixed hand in hand

Yes when i hold the clutch and reduce the speed the rpm drops specially when ac is on and to regain the speed i have to shift to first gear otherwise in second gear knocking starts

if you are an experienced driver, then kindly elaborate the issue at hand..

I have been driving since 10 years. Actually the problem is it seems that the car is underpowered when ac is on. Can the pick be improved.

getting the filters and oils replaced will help in making it better.

I had the exact same issue with my 2010 Gli. I went through changing plugs to platinum and got my car tuned and changed oil and changed all the filters. But still, the issue was there. Then I got to know that there might be an issue with the engine coils of which I don't know much as I didn't get it checked and sold my car. Maybe get the coils checked.

Check throttle body. At times AC condenser has lost health, and contributes to this.
