I need some help. I recently bought a Honda City 1.3 manual i-VTEC (2015 model), with only 41,000 km driven. I mainly bought it because of the low mileage.
After driving it for 2-3 weeks, I decided to get it tuned from the Honda Port Qasim dealership, because I didn’t want to take any risk by going to a roadside mechanic.
After the Honda service, the fuel average dropped badly from 12-13 km/l to just 8-9 km/l. They changed the air filter, cabin filter, and engine oil (Honda SN 5W-30 fully synthetic).
The dealership people said the average will improve slowly, but it’s already been a week and I’ve driven over 150 km — still no improvement.
Can someone please guide me what could be the reason? Should I wait more or get it checked by another good mechanic? Also, if anyone knows a good reliable mechanic in Karachi, please suggest.
