Oh man, this is gonna get very heated so I'm gonna advise you to take this topic down before it gets out of hands
So here is my opinion after keeping both Models
If you're looking for family use, go for corolla.
If you're looking for single persons use, and are someone who prefers driving-comfort over other factors, go for City.
Manual corolla and city both have similar acceleration. However, City being a lighter vehicle is a fraction of a second faster. On top-ends and high-speed stats, City takes the advantage. City is better in terms of handling and road grip as well.
On the other hand, Corolla is more spacious and more comfortable in terms of Road-comfort. road comfort means that its ride is smoother than that of city and also less bumpy.
At this point, I would like to mention that there are two types of comforts. 1) Driving comfort, and 2) Road comfort.
Driving comfort is related to the cars driving posture, its handling, grip, steering feel, maneuverability, driving feel.
In this area, city takes the advantage. The driving posture, road grip, handling, of city is far better than that of corolla. You stay in place on your seats when taking turns or going over curves. However, in corolla there is too much body roll and the passengers tend to move a lot over turns (even normal ones) and curves.
Second is driving comfort. This is related to the suspension and tires of the car. This is the part where corolla takes the advantage. It is more comfortable than City in this regard and hardly gives you trouble while going over potholes or bad roads (best for villages and such areas). The tyres in corolla are also relatively better and performs well according to badly constructed roads.
Remember, it is always a trade-off between Road-comfort and handling.
This pretty much sums everything up. The features offered on the two cars are pretty much the same. City is relatively more fuel economical than corolla (although it is just 19 20 difference). Interior looks are your own choice. City will cost you comparatively cheaper than corolla.
Maybe this will help you, or not.
