I recently bought a Honda City 1.3 Prosmatec. I'm getting very poor mileage during local drives—only about 7–8 km/l. However, when driving within the city for relatively longer trips, the mileage improves to 9–10.5 km/l (approx), and on long drives, it gives around 13.5-14 km/l.
Is this normal, or can it be improved?
I’ve recently changed the spark plugs to laser iridium, cleaned the O2 sensor, replaced the air filter, and confirmed that the ATF is full. The car has driven 70,000 km, but there’s been no noticeable improvement in fuel average.
What else should I check to improve the fuel efficiency?
Any recommendations for a good computer tune-up centre in Islamabad/Rawalpindi would be highly appreciated.
